Same old, same old, rings a bell. Having found a great Internet Business Opportunity  you can work from home is a huge step, but it’s only the first step. If you just add the new opportunity to your life, and do nothing else to make it happen, then what have your really accomplished?

You have to take a serious look at how you operate, the results you are currently getting, in your daily life and realize that if you do not do things differently, with the addition of the new Internet Business Opportunity, then it will be, the same old same old. What I am referring to is this, just the addition of the new Internet Business Opportunity, job or business, it does not matter, by just adding this new opportunity to your mix, you are not only going to get the same results you have been getting in the past, but your results will now suffer. How? let me explain.

Your life is like an over crowded boat in the water. You pile things into the boat, your current job, family obligations, hobbies, social events, maybe church activities, charity events, sports games, you get the picture. if you are like most people, the boat is pretty crowded, maybe even sinking under the weight of what you are currently doing. NOW, you decide you need to make some extra money, go out and get involved in a great Internet Business Opportunity, and add that to your already over crowded, perhaps already sinking boat. What did you think was going to happen ?

What has to happen, if you are going to have any chance at success, at the new addition to your family, to your life if you have no current family, is you have to at the very least, start to take inventory of what you are currently doing, AND how you are doing it, and make some changes. I have a saying that I learned from some of my clients, customers from down South in the United States, the saying, one of my all time favorites by the way is this, ” you can’t put 10 pounds of manure, in a 5 pound sack ” That is not only very descriptive, but is also right on the money. I KNOW I regularly try to put a lot more than 10 pounds of manure in my 5 pound sack, what about you?

Too often, probably almost always, people, you and me, just add something into our daily mix, without thinking about the consequences of that addition, consequences like, where is it going to fit in, is it going to fit in, for starters. Something has to give, something or someone is going to have to get bumped, if the new addition, in this case, your new Internet Business Opportunity, is going to have any chance of survival , let alone success.

I can not make those decisions for you, what I can do, is give your the tools and the ideas and methods on how to make those decisions. What you can do now, is start to look at what you currently do, and see what will have to go, in order to make way for your new job or business. I am assuming, that you are like most of us, our reach extends our ability to support all that we want to do. Our in basket, out to do list for life is always way to full. So, start to spend some alone quite time, yes you do have some of that, you just have to look a little for it, spend some of that quality time and looking at what you currently do, and then start to make some tough decisions about what makes the cut and what does not.

Life is about choices, you have to always be on the look out for what is most important to you, make sure you end up doing those activities and along the way, make sure you are not one of those people trying to put more than 5 pounds of manure, in your 5 pound sack !!

You have decided to start an Internet Home Business, now the fun starts. I can only scratch the surface here but I will give you what I consider some of the key areas to look at, and will add to these as time goes on. I have a piece of information that I will share with you now that 95% of the people reading this will be shocked to read but in reality, it is very relevant to your search and the probability of you  being successful at whatever Internet Home Business or job opportunity you choose. My experience has shown me that it is far better to be well organized, in charge, have a grasp of your use of time and be participating in an average opportunity, THAN finding that perfect opportunity BUT not be organized, not be efficient and not have a firm grasp of your use of time.

When ever I say that in a seminar, it usually, no, let me make that, it ALWAYS gets the participants up in arms. They always ask me if they actually understand what I am say because it seems so hard to grasp, to comprehend. In reality, its really simple, better to have a so so business, but do it well, than have a really great opportunity and not be able to take advantage of it because you are not in a position to maximize its potential.

The first reaction is, when does that happen, when does this positioning take place, the answers is on a regular basis, in fact almost always. I have to add one more caveat to make this example as real as possible, and as useful to you as possible. On a sliding scale, the times that WE are not in a position to maximize our financial opportunities is virtually 100% compared to the times we are ahead of the curve when it comes to working and maximizing our Internet Home Business opportunities This means you need to spend more time on getting Internet Business Training than you do on selecting your Internet Home Business

In other words, we hold up the progress of our business and job, not the other way around. Hard pill to swallow, but its the reality we all face. Give me a great operator in a so so business, I will show you a winner, almost every time. Give me a super star, or someone who thinks they are a superstar in what they think is  goldmine business, I usually have a problem on my hands.

I am just touching on this concept here. The point of this Post, and many more like it is to point you in the direction where you will be able to make the most gains, for the least effort, that is what experience can show you, that’s the point of getting experienced. Think of a skilled tradesman, lets pick a carpenter, a cabinet maker. Have a skilled tradesman build you a cabinet. then you build it, assuming you have some carpentry skills. Look at the difference in workmanship as well as the time it will take both of you to complete the same task.

The skilled tradesman will take half the time, AND do a substantially better job. That is the role I will be playing here on this site. What Do Successful People Making Money From Home Have In Common?

The short answer is, successful people, whether they make their  money at or from home, or outside of the home, they do the right activities at the right time, in the right quantities, to get the job done. This may sound glib or over simplified, but trust me, it takes a great deal of planning, organizing, prioritizing, time management and just plain practiced  skill and perseverance to accomplish what appears to be 3 simple tasks.

You can tell that you have a chance at being profitable, if you in fact realize that being able to drive your own agenda, which means that you do what you want, when you want to and do enough of both to be successful and profitable is the real secret to success. It’s the ability to do ALL three at the same time, on a regular basis that separates the profitable people from the ones that keep saying, I am doing what Joe is doing, why does Joe make more money than me?

Joe makes more money that you, because Joe is better at what he does than you. We do not like to hear that, but if you look at Joe and think he is some how just lucky, or smarter, or  got in on the ground floor, then you are making your task that much harder. your task is to make money, be successful at what you are doing now, or will be doing soon. If I am going to be of any value to you, I need to give you the benefit of my almost 40 years of experience. That experience has told  me that successful people are the ones that are drivers, not passengers, they drive their agendas, they do not allow other people or other circumstances deter them from implementing and accomplishing their plans and goals.

If you are already involved in a work from home, job, business or Internet website, or a combination of all three, you can start working on the 3 R”s. Do the Right activities, at the Right time, in the Right quantities. Deciding what are the Right activities, at the Right time and in the Right quantities is a long process. The good part of the process is that it is not a win or lose situation. starting the process and making inroads, can happen very quickly, even a small amount of effort can produce immediate results.

One of my mantras on this site, on this Blog is this, if you want to better your life, by generating extra income, from what ever source you decide, part of that process should include, improving yourself irregardless of your financial choices. The better organized you are, the more in control of your time you have, the more things you can get done, the better off you will be, when it comes to your financial endeavors.

Something else successful people have in common, they have an attitude about themselves and their business or job. They look upon what they do as important, very important, important enough that they make sure that what they want and need to do, gets done, period. Some people call it  ” the eye of the tiger “, the name you attach to it does not matter, what matters, if you want to be successful, if you want to make money, you too, have to develop the attitude that you matter and what you want and need to get done, matters enough that you will MAKE it happen.

I am not one of these people that believes, just because you want something to happen, badly enough, that somehow it will happen. Sorry, do not belong to that school of thought. I have helped thousands of people to achieve their emotional, as well as financial goals in life, they did  it by connecting their hopes and dreams to a concrete plan of attack and then followed that plan of attack up with work, dedication and sacrifice. Make a plan, work your plan.

The number one reason people, you and ME, do not do as well as we would like, at our revenue generating activities ( another way of saying, work from home jobs, business opportunities, starting a website, e-commerce, the title is irrelevant, they all relate to our collective quest to make some additional income, to better ourselves financially), the number one reason is, our struggle to manage our time more effectively.

I have been involved with this issue, Time Management for close to 40 years. I have worked with and dealt with thousands and thousands of people, for a reference, see, www.powerempowerment.com, at the end of the day, we all have the same struggle and issues. How to get more of the right things done, at the right time, in the right order, to enable us to be successful, or more successful.

My struggle, or should I say, OUR struggle, is to connect our dissatisfaction, or lack of results to the route cause, our collective inability to better use our time. For those of us who are reading this and are saying, what the heck is he talking about, I  am very happy with my life, my results and my level of success, then you are right, I have nothing to offer you. If on the other hand, if you feel that there is some room, a lot or a little, for improvement, to achieve more out of life, and to be happier with your lot, then I do in deed have something to offer you.

My frustration stems from this common scenario. Someone attends one of my seminars, buys one of my books or Systems, joins  my Membership site and then asks the pivotal question, ” I am not ……………………. ” fill in the blank. They start off with, I am not and they end with,  not being happy with a specific set of circumstances. it could be, they are not happy with their job, the results they are getting from school, their business is not making enough money, they do not have enough time to do all the things they want to do, they work hard but do not seem to get ahead, etc etc.

It is different people, all with the same issues. They have a common base of dissatisfaction with what is happening to them and they are looking for an answer or answers. My satisfaction creeps in at this stage because I know what the answers are, but when I try to convey them to who ever is asking, there is always a sense of, that can not be the solution to MY problem, there has to be another solution. Unfortunately, there isn’t.

How you control  and manage your time. dictates how you control and manage your life, and the results you will get out of it. Time is what life is made up of. When out time is up, whether it’s at the end of a busy day, or at the end of our lives, when a specific amount of time is up, that time is lost forever. What we managed to accomplish in that busy day, or in our life span, our accomplishments and what we did or did not accomplished, will be how we are measured or how we measure ourselves.

In your search for a work from home job, a business opportunity, starting an Internet based business, part of that search should include you assessing how well you are in control of your time, your daily schedule. It makes little sense to spend the time and effort to find the perfect Internet Business, when you are not going to be able to maximize your time and effort, once you find it. A strong case could be made that you should FIRST get your current house in order BEFORE you add the additional dimension of another layer of activity to what you are currently doing.

Starting a work from home business or job is a daunting task, one that will stretch you to your limits, and some times beyond. You want to be sure you are ready for the challenge. Now is the time to re=evaluate your control of your time, take a look at how well you are currently functioning, them asses the impact of adding a new work from home job or business to your personal matrix. Remember, make a plan, work your plan.

My First Question !! About Internet Home Businesses

I  just received my first question from someone who asks, “what’s better, a work from home job, or a work from home business opportunity?”

That’s  simple, what ever suits you and your immediate needs. First and foremost, whatever you do, has to suit you and your personality, what you want to do and what you are good at. All of these considerations are paramount, if you hope to stay doing what you pick for any length of time.

Having said that, what your immediate needs are can and will probably take precedence over your personal wish list. If you are finding yourself in a position that dictates to you that getting some revenue into the household is the primary concern, then you may find yourself in a position of taking what you can get, then while you are paying the bills, keep on the look out for something that you want to do, versus having to do something to pay the bills.

Having a choice to pick what you want to do compared to what you have to do is a luxury that most of us do not have. If you find yourself in this select group, pick wisely.

To answer the question, what is better, a work from home job, or a work from home business opportunity, all things being equal, a work from home business opportunity would get my vote, hands down. A job has limitations on a variety of things, how much you can make, your personal freedom, your ability to advance, your choices are limited to the parameters of the job and most importantly, there is no chance of an ownership situation arising.

A work from home business opportunity on the other hand, the sky is pretty much the limit. You are the driver, not the passenger, you set the guidelines and the parameters, not someone else. With a business opportunity, there is a direct correlation between effort in, and profits out, the harder you work, the more you are likely to make. There is just no comparison between a job and a business that you own.

There are some downsides to a business opportunity. With a job, you are usually guaranteed a pay cheque at the end of the week, with a business opportunity, there are no guarantees. It’s a toss up, take a job, there is a cap on what you can make, with a business opportunity, there is no guarantee of making a profit, but there is no cap on what you can make. Do you give up the guarantee pay of a job, for the uncertainty of a business, with unlimited potential?

Okay, let’s walk through this. Do you have the luxury of being able to pick and choose what direction you can or want to go ? If the answer is yes, then the first decision is, do you want to play it safe, if yes, you want to look at jobs you can do from home. If you can and want to take more risk, for the potential of a higher return, look for a business opportunity that you can also do out of your home.

How about the best of both worlds? The majority of people that I have dealt with over the years have found that what works best for them is this, first, take care of the financial obligations, which usually means getting or keeping a job. Once that is taken care of, start the search for the opportunity, business opportunity that you can do while you are paying the bills. I believe that you will find, that the majority of people out there have taken this path, work at what you have to do to make ends meet and while that is happening, start and develop something on the side that will eventually end up being what you do full time.

If it was easy, we all would be rich. We all have to balance our wants with our needs. More about this choice as time goes on.

Are You A Player Or A Spectator?

How about, are you a shopper or a buyer, the same thing. People coming to this site, this Blog, are all driven to varying degrees with our want or need to make some money. Working from home in a free Internet based business sounds appealing to many people.  As the saying goes, money makes the world go round. There are two questions that come to mind.

The first one, how great or urgent is your need? Do you simply want to make a few extra bucks, do you want to replace a current outside job, do you now have a child, children that makes staying at home AND making money a must. There are a lot of dynamics at play here that will greatly influence your search for what will fill your needs. Regardless of your need, something that should come into play early on in your search, regardless of what you would like, you have to contend with the reality of your own circumstances.

You may want to go in a certain direction, but your own set of circumstances will make your go in another. If you need a set amount of money, and need is the key word, the search is now some what narrowed. Options of choice, personal preference, what you think you would like to do are now replaced with, I need some cash to pay the bills, what is the first thing I can get involved with, NOW.

No one likes to operate with their back to the wall, but reality has a nasty habit of rearing it’s head and moving us in a direction we would not normally take. This is life and we have to make choices some times that are not our first route to take. It’s important to note that just because we need cash and we need to take something that pays the bills, this does not mean that we are now going to be in this situation for ever, all it means is that we find ourselves  doing what has to be done now only as a stop on the journey.

That is the beauty of choice, of being able to plan, organize, prioritize, do things in stages. What we need to do today, does not have to be what we end up doing a year down the road. Working from home, getting a job we can do at home can still be the long term goal. The real goal should be to start with with we need to do, then while we are doing what has to be done, we are working toward what we would eventually like to do, in the long run.

The second question, what would you LIKE to do? There is a huge variety of options out there, working from home opens many potential doors, a work from home job, a work from home business opportunity, buying a business you can work from home, opening up a new business, buying an existing business that is currently operating, the list has a wide range of options on it.

If you are new to the Internet and new to the business options the Internet has to offer, the options and choices can be daunting. What to do first? That in itself could be a 6 month mini course in Internet e-commerce. For now,  I have one bit of advice to get you started. Become a player.

It’s difficult to make any progress, get any experience, further yourself, by sitting on the sidelines. You have to get into the game, get some experience, try different options, see what does and does not work for you. This can only be accomplished by stop being a spectator and becoming a player. I am not suggesting  you start big, start spending a lot of money, what I am suggesting is that you get involved, in a small way at first, some of the work from home opportunities that are out there.

It’s official, this is my first post on my new site. I have been in the business arena for a long time, close to 40 years now. My background is varied and it has been a long and exciting journey, up to this point. It is about to get even more exciting. I want this site to have the best Internet work from home jobs, business opportunities, ways that you can earn some extra income and do if from and at home.

What the Internet does better than any other source, it allows people to get what they have to say out to a huge market, instantly. That market has the opportunity to tune in or tune out, just as instantly. You know very quickly if what you have to say has a market or not.

I certainly have a specific message , a specific slant on what this site is about, it will be interesting if you are interested in what I have to say and how I say it.Your comments, questions and feedback are always welcome.

This site is about improving and enriching your life, financially. I have other sites that spend time on working on other areas of your life, www.powerempowerment.com, but this site is all about the money.  It’s about gathering and having the best Internet work from home opportunities out there. It’s a simple concept, people are here because they need to make some extra money, they need to better themselves, improve their lives, pay some bills, and all of that hinges on making some money. nothing wrong with that and there is certainly nothing wrong with dedicating a site to that pursuit.

What will make this site different, from the thousands and thousands out there that have the same if not similar work from home Affiliate sites, is my background and how I will work with you, on this site. My background is almost 40 years working with thousands of people in the situation you are in, wanting to make some money to better themselves.  I also have the same 40 years of experience working with people on putting themselves in a position to make the best of the situation they are in now, and to find ways to make them more capable and more adapt at taking advantage of the opportunities when they arise and or find them.

I learned an incredibly valuable lesson, very early on in my career, it does not matter how great the business opportunity is, regardless of how powerful the work or job concept is, if you are not in a position to maximize the opportunity, it will be wasted. The number one reason people are not successful making or earning extra money, is that they are trying to throw an extra layer of complexity onto  what they are already doing and this just makes the overload situation unmanageable.
