Internet Home Businesses Owners, Do Not Underestimate the Value of Feeling Good

January 31st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

This is not one of my normal posts. I have a tendency to focus on the technical side of things, too much some times and neglect the emotional side of running an Internet Home Businesses. That is a mistake on my part and I will explain why.

At the end of the day, if we are not happy with ourselves , are not content with who and what we are, our performance in every area of our lives will suffer. Yes, my focus and direction is on how this dissatisfaction is going to effect our performance in how successful our Internet Home Business or job will be, but this topic has far reaching consequences in all areas of our lives. I will focus on just the business side but you may want to expand this scope into other areas of your life as you see fit.

Internet Home Businesses, http://www.hhhmakemoneyonline.com, require us, need us to be focused and at the top of our game in order to stand a chance at becoming successful. That is not going to happen if we are stressed out, unhappy, discouraged and just pissed off  some or most of the time. One of the ways to avoid this state of mind is to be able to do the following:

1. Ensure that you have victories each day.     Nothing is worse or more demoralizing than working hard all day, and have that feeling that nothing went well, you have more work to do at the end of the day than you had at the beginning, and worse of all, you worked your butt off but feel you did not accomplish anything. Sound familiar? What really happened is this, yes you worked hard, yes you did accomplish things but what makes you feel this way is that you did not accomplish the tasks and goals that are important to you, the Priority tasks. The fact of the matter is this, accomplish 12 things or tasks in a day, if they are not the right ones, you feel that the whole day was a waste and you get that angry frustrated feeling.

2. This is  all part of getting control of your time and yourself, check this site out on this topic, http://www.powertimesystem.com  The way to avoid this syndrome is to make sure that you have victories each day. The victories do not have to be large ones, but they have to be really valid victories. Example, you set the goal for your self, like I do, that you have to produce a certain amount of original content on your web site each day. My number one A Priority is to post on the 3 blogs that I have. That takes about 3 hours, 3 post of about 500 to 800 words each. The posts  also act as the outline of focus of additional articles  as well, I also like to do double duty when I can. That is a reasonable goal, it is also a legitimate victory for me when I achieve it.

3. This is the good part. The days I can achieve my goal, 3 posts, are the days that REGARDLESS of what else happens, I end the day on a good  note , I feel happy, upbeat and I have that feeling that I was in charge, I was the driver of my own Agenda. Like the TV commercial, price, priceless!! If you take nothing away from this site than this, never ever underestimate the impact on you, your business, your life, than the positive impact of ending your days with a good felling about what took place that day. It has taken me far too long to fully appreciate that fact. Better late than ever.

One person that we can not fool is ourselves. At the end of the day, if we are pissed, we are pissed, that is just the way that day will end. All the is left for us to do is to work on making sure the next day does not end up like today. Try working on this concept of ensuring that SOMETHING goes right each day, identify what is important to do for the day, and to do  your best that whatever you have picked for the day, gets done. Do not get fooled that what you want to get done that day has to be some huge massive earth shattering task, it does not have to be. The trick is, make it short, sweet, obtainable and above all, important to do. Do this, you are on your way to becoming happier, more productive and you are laying the foundation to becoming a more successful and accomplished person. Is this not the reason you started your own Internet Home Business?

The Difference between an Internet Home Business and an Internet Home Hobby

January 30th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Uncategorized

One day I should sit down and figure out exactly how many Internet Home Businesses I have worked with over the years. I usually throw out the figure of 20,000, knowing that is too low. I guess it really does not matter, there have been a lot. The real significance is this, the larger the pool of people I can draw from, the greater the relevancy of what I have to say, at least that is the hope. Internet Home Business owners fall into two categories, those that have a real business and those that have what I call hobby businesses. Strap in, some people are about to get offended.

Interacting with  20,000 plus Internet  Home Business owners has taught me that people like the concept of being in business more than the actual business itself. Let me explain. People have been led to believe that the way to get ahead and to make money, in some cases  huge amounts of money, is to start and operate an Internet Home Business. Fair enough, lets forget for a moment about the scams and just outright lies that are out there about 99% of these offers, lets just look at the people who want to better themselves and  to make some extra money.

They get involved in a business opportunity and then what happens next is what separates the real business people from the hobbyists. They start the business, they put up a web site of some description, maybe, and then they wait and wait and then wait some more, they are waiting for the business to some how miraculously appear, it never does. There is a disconect between the start of the business and then the actuall commencement of the business. This is where the reality and  perception meet. The perception of what people think an Internet Home Business is  and what the business actually is.

The Perception    What do people think is involved in operating and running an Internet Home Business and what actually is needed to be successful are two vastly different things. The Internet has bastardized what is involved in running any kind of business to the point that it is not even recognizable anymore. It is really a crime that these parasites are out there, and that people are misled as badly as they are. The claims, the promises, the  testimonials  about what someone will be able to obtain, always with no skills, no training, no effort, and especially doing nothing even remotely resembling work, are not based in anything remotely reasonable. They are just scammers without any moral compass what so ever.

It is within this frame work that people look at what they will have to do, nothing, and what they will receive, wealth, happiness, freedom, all with in a matter of days, perhaps in a week at the latest. It is really hard to tell what people really think, deep down in side, do they really believe the hype, the ads, the testimonials?, they must, MILLIONS of people sign up and potentially start these Internet Home Business Opportunities, so there is a market out there for this garbage.

Okay, we all know what we are talking about here, we are talking about what people THINK they are signing up for. An Internet Home Business that requires no work, no skills, no effort and no time to invest, in return, you get untold wealth, freedom, can quit your job and buy that Mercedes, all within a matter of a few short weeks. I think we all get the picture.

  The Reality

Time for a wake up call. When reality rears its ugly head, it separates the hobbyists from the people who are prepared to do what is necessary to make their Internet Home Businesses succeed. This is where this post takes a turn. There are now two dynamics at play here, people who are not going to be successful, regardless of what Internet Home Business they are involved in, scam ot legitimate business it does not matter, they are going to fail because they are not prepared to put in the time, effort and work to make, it they are goners from the get go.

Then there is the other group, albeit a much much smaller group who will sacrifice, work and dedicate themselves to being successful, it is this group that has another hurdle to over come. What do they do if they picked a scam and not a business that will give them a chance to have a legitimate shot at being successful? www.hhhmakemoneyonline.com, will give you that chance.

I rambled a bit on this one. My point is this, nothing wrong with having an Internet Home Business and not making as much money from it as you wanted, as long as you are okay with that. Nothing wrong with having a business that is a hobby, something that does not make money but makes you happy and fulfills a need for you. You have to decide if you are happy with what you have and that you can live with the consequences. Its your business and its your life, you are always the ultimate judge.

How Do you Figure Out What Your Number 1 Prioroity Is ?

January 29th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

I wish I had a stock answer for you on this one, but I don’t have one because its a little more complex than just picking one and either being right or wrong. Internet Home Business owners battle the same  issues as the rest of us, we battle the elements and we battle ourselves. that is why Proper Time Management is a journey, not a destination. You never wake up one day and say, ” finally, I ‘ve mastered the art of controlling and managing my time “. In order to be able to say that, you would also have to be in complete control of yourself and your actions. I have yet to meet a person who has acheived that daily double.

This is the answer to the people who asked about the last post about the importance of picking a number one a Priority each day and then achieving that Priority each day. I was tempted to list some reasons why doing this is crucial, will do that in the next Post, for now, here are some notes on how to pick that top number 1 Priority.

  1. First, do not sweat it, do not spend time on the process and do not worry about whetheryou have the  right one or not, that is not the point of the exercise. What is the point is this, you are looking at time in a different light, you are connecting the dots you are becoming a driver instead of a passenger, this is all good. This is the start to getting you back into control, making you more productive and  less stressed out and hopefully making you a happier person, one day at a time. the really good point is this, you are doing this all while you are doing what you would of done anyway, just in a more efficient organized fashion.

  2. I put a great deal of weight to the process and the head set that we have regarding something we may not be familiar with or doing at the time. If I walked up to 100 people and asked them what their number 1 a Priority was for that day, I would be surprised if 2 or 3 could tell me. I have dealt with thousands of Internet Home Business owners over the years, and yes, the ones that work with me and end up doing just this one simple task each day, experience astounding positive results. Learn more here, www.powertimesystem.com  The reason they experience huge benefits is the power of Proper Time Management, its the fact that increasing your efficiency by just an hour a day, is compounded over thousands and thousands of hours over your life time.

  3. A little secret that I have learned over the years in regards to picking your number one Priority, the longer you have wanted to do it, the greater the chances are that it should get done. The key is this, it has to be what you want to do, not what circumstances around you dictate should get done. there is a difference between important, things you want to do, and urgent, things other people want you to do. Important are your Priorities and urgent things are other peoples Priorities. Important good, urgent bad.

  4. I have  also seen over the years that people usually have an instinctive feel for what they should get done , what their Priorities are. I should clarify this a bit. We all start our day with something that we would like to do, something that would make our day much more productive and pleasant for us if we accomplished this one task. As I said above, its something we want to do, it may or may not be the top one, but it counts in our minds. that is important at this stage, lets get in the habit of accomplishing things that are both important from a production logistics level as well as just from the gut  level.

  5. We should never overlook the value of feeling good, feeling happy, and the resulting jump you get in your step that makes you far more productive and energetic than if you were just going through the motions.

Proper Time Management tips and tools are not meant to be some sort of academic exercise. They have real consequences and can positively effect your life, if you work with them. Regardless of where you are in your Time Management journey, start getting in to the habit of picking what is important to you each day, and then organize and control your self and your time and make sure you accomplish this goal, each day.

I will make you a promise, the days you accomplish just this one gaol, will be the days that you get more done and feel better, than the days that you either do not have a Priority or you have a Priority and fail to accomplish it. Keep score and let me know how you do.

  Have a great day

A Tip For Internet Home Businesses Owners, Getting the One Key Priority Accomplished Each Day is Crucial

January 28th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

Internet Home Business owners are under the gun as much as any business owners are, and in reality, probably more so. Working from home means that you have an outside job and you are trying to make additional money, juggling a full time job, with a part time Internet Home Business opportunity on the side. Managing your time, energy and resources is even more crucial under these circumstances. I want to pass just one Time Management tip on about this topic, one that I have found is very effective in helping you get the most out of your day and at the same time, put you in a positive mood enabling you to achieve more and get more tasks done.

2 THINGS you want to do, FIRST, Pick one key Priority for each day and then make sure that one KEY Priority gets accomplished, each day.

I know what you are thinking, is that the best he can come up with? My answers is yes, that is the best I can come up with. I have dealt with thousands of Internet Home Business owners and if they could just accomplish  what seems to be this one simple  easy task, their businesses would be significantly improved. As a point of reference, I would estimate that out of 100 business owners, only about 5% are able to consistently achieve accomplishing their number 1 priority. That is 5 people out of 100!! On this same train of thought, that figure of 5 % is eerily similar to the number of Internet Home Business Owners that are either successful and or happy with their results.

In order to move forward, either in life and or in business, to get where you want to go, you have to connect what you are doing, with what has to be done in order to get where you want to be. Same activities, same way of doing things will continue to get you the same old results. That is fine if the same old results are what you want, if not, you need to start looking at doing things differently.

This is a great place to start. This Time Management tip is easy to implement and will get your great results for a minimum of effort invested. That is always what we are looking for, small investment in, big returns back out. What is nice about this procedure is you are not adding anything to your workload, you are just using the existing time you have in a better more productive fashion.

STEP ONE,     each day pick what we are going to call your NUMBER ONE A PRIORITY. This will represent the one task or job that you have decided will benefit you the most by being accomplished today. Pick a task or job that can be done in a day, preferably something under an hour. The goal is to have something that is important to us, something we can easily do and something that has a start and a stop on it, easily identifiable as being accomplished.

STEP TWO,  go to great lengths to ensure this task is accomplished. This is you drawing the proverbial line in the sand, accomplishing this one task will mean that you are in fact driving your own Agenda, more details, www.powertimesystem.com. The positive significance to you of doing this, driving your own Agenda, can not be over stated. Remember the thousands and thousands of Internet Home Business owners that I have worked with, the ones who were successful and happy, were able to consistently accomplish this feat, driving their own Agenda,  the others were not.

This is a Blog post, its free and anyone can read it.  I took the time to post it because for anyone who reads it, puts these two simple tools to work for them, will notice an amazing improvement in their performance, their results and how they feel at the end of each day. Those are powerful benefits from such a simple procedural change to how you do things. Give it a try, you will be amazed at the benefits you will derive back from such a small up front investment in time and effort.

Have a great day

Learning to Dump Good Stuff is a Tough Lesson for Owners of Internet Home Businesses

January 27th, 2010 | 1 Comment | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

Internet Home Businesses are tough to operate because they are operated on the Internet, THE toughest place to run a business from. My background is from the old school, the bricks and motor world. The new world, at least for those of us working and building on the Internet, is one that requires a high degree of personal discipline in order to not only survive, but to prosper, an even more difficult task. here are some proper  Time Management tips on getting this done.

1. The access we we have, and the access that people have to bombard  us with information is staggering. We like to call this the information age, the age where the world is at our finger tips, and they are right about that, the problem is, is that a good thing? The simple question is, are we as a society that much better off, more successful, happier than the previous generation that did not have this access to the world, at the touch of a mouse.? The answer is a resounding no, I am afraid.

2. Being successful means that you are able to achieve the things you want to do and in doing so, you should end up happy and satisfied. pretty simple description of being successful. Along the way, as we have all found out, there are a huge hosts of distraction along the way, things and people, directly or indirectly, that stop us from getting to realizing our goals, and thus preventing us from being satisfied and happy. It is these distractions that are the route causes of us not getting where we want to go.If you want to be successful at operating an Internet Home Business you have to be able to avoid these disrtractions and stay on track and run your own Agenda.

3. The definition of a distraction is something that does not contribute directly to our success. That is a pretty broad definition but it is one that works for us, or should work for us. We need to add another addition to the definition to bring it a little sharper in focus. Distractions are also activities or people that can be useful to us, along the road to success, but are not as important as other activities that we could or should be doing. This may seem to be splitting hairs but getting where we want to go in this information age is a VERY tricky thing, so splitting hairs is sometimes required.

4. You need to be able to not only pack as much as we can into each day, we need to make sure that we are doing the KEY Priorities that we have set out for ourselves each day, for more on this, www.powertimesystem.com. It is these key priorities that are the activities that will get us where we want to go. The problem exists that we are too easily distracted and taken off our Agenda by other tasks and activities that are also beneficial to us, but not as beneficial as our key priorities. For example, we need to do some work on preparing a report, a piece of advertising, a specific task we have set our for ourselves. In the process of working on a specific task, we get sidetracked by something else that has caught our eye, something incredibly easy to do, on the Internet.

5. Here in lies the rub, what has side tracked us can be beneficial to us, even very beneficial to us, the problem is, its not what we had planned to do and is there fore a distraction to us at this time. Establishing and then driving your Agenda is crucial to getting the right things done at the right time. Having a plan and then working that plan is what separates the winners from the losers.

Internet Home Businesses are run on the Internet highway, a place that by its very nature, contains the most information, all in the one spot, than the world has ever seen. Operating within this environment is a scary and tricky place to be, especially if you want to keep your eye on your ball and play your own game. Be aware that the greatest strength of the Internet  can also be its greatest challenge.

Internet Home Business Opportunities and the Connection Between Success and Proper Time Management

January 26th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

Proper Time Management and Internet Home Business Opportunities go together like jam and peanut butter, except people like jam and peanut butter!! That is the strange relationship between people, Internet Home Business Opportunities, proper Time Management, and achieving success and happiness, is getting all 3 of these players to see the connection and embrace it. I feel like the person who stands on a street corner and when people ask me for directions to a place I am certain I know where it is, I then point that where they want to go is left, they first argue with me that its right, and after the argument, head off right any way.

You are running an Internet Home Business and you are not getting the results that you want, what do you do, where do your turn to get things on track? In my mind, there is ONLY one direction to turn to, inward, to yourself. The answers to becoming successful, happy and acheiving the things you want in life are not out THERE, they are inside of you, and entirely within our control. I am not one of those people who know will get on the mantra that if you believe it, it will happen, that is not my style nor is it how i know things happen for people, at least the 20,000 plus people that I have dealt with over the years.

I believe that you need to get your personal house in order, before you can really make inroads in acheiving the maximum out of life. Here are just a few connections between success, Internet Home Business Opportunities and proper Time Management.

1. If the ship is already sinking, what is the point in piling more cargo on it? Most of us are already the captains if overloaded, sinking ships, am I right? To varying degrees, we are not happy with the results we are acheiving in life, we have way too much on our plates right now, and we are either sinking or have sunk with the weight of our current aspirations, goals and workloads we have put upon ourselves. The good news is, all of this is reversible and the ship can be righted, for some FREE help in this area, visit, www.powerempowerment.com.

2. NO ONE can do all of the things you want to do in life, that’s right, YOU, and I do not even have to know who you are in order to make this statement. To be successful, the first step is to realize we are human, and this means we will always over extend our ability to do all of the things we want to do. It is this fact of life that plays such an important role in how do in life. Our ability to realize this fact, accept it as a fact and then deal with it, that is what some people like to refer to as, ” what is the secret to ” proper Time Management, and ultimately the secret to being happy and successful in life.

3. The error we make far to often is trying to achieve all of the things we want to do, failing at this un attainable goal, and in the process, ruin our chances of acheiving some of those goals, that would of been achieved, if we had not tried to achieve them all, and failing in that task, failed at all of them, unnecessarily. Its like the situation where we are trying to carry too many items from one point to another, if we just carried 5 items of the 10 that were there, we would of been able to do that. Instead, we try to carry all 10, and in the process, end up dropping all of them on the way to our destination, ending up at the end, with none of the 20 arriving there, when at least 5 could of easily made the trip.

Time  is the stuff that life is made of. What we do inside the time we are given dictates what kind of life we will have, it really is not a whole lot more complicated than that. If nothing else, take from this simple post the irrefutable fact that your happiness and your success in life hinges on your ability to manage and control your time, which translates to managing and controlling ourselves. Have a great day.

Internet Home Businesses and ProperTime Management, Why Such a Hard Sell?

January 18th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

This is a bit of a continuation from my post of yesterday. First of all, Internet Home Business owners are not the only people that trying to get them to deal with their Time Management is such a hard sell, it is everyone. 35 plus years, and it is the same story, same dog, different fleas. I was surprised in the early 1980″s and I am surprised in the first month of 2010. The Master is right, to a large extent, people do not want to deal with Time Management issues, they feel, what, I am not sure, the bottom line, the lifeline you extend them is thrown back 9 times out of 10.

Why, what is the resistance with getting people to realize that the way to improve their lives, give them an easier way to go, better results, and to end up being happier in the process, is to attack how they deal with time? I have a few theories, here they are.

  1. People are too busy. I know it sounds bizarre, but there it is. Dealing with time issues, takes time, you need to stop, think, listen, react, do some work, make some changes, this all takes time and people are just too busy to spend the time to get it right. The very tool that will help them out of the jam, is the tool they refuse to use. I should rephrase the objection, they are not too busy, they have the time they need to help themselves, they just have chosen to use that time on other task they deem to be more important. A classic    Management issue, I didn’t plan to fail, I just failed to plan.

  2. This is not about proper  Time Management, its about managing ourselves, in relation to our time. I believe that people, deep down inside realize this issue, and because of this  have a hard time coming to grips with the whole issue and context of proper Time Management. When you start to deal with proper Time Management, you deal with very fundamental issues with and about people. How they think, act, how they do things and why they do them that way, people have to take a real hard look at themselves, that is tough for all of us to do. Most people have a hard time with that and as a result, would rather look in other directions than at themselves.

  3. On the other hand, and this is going to sound really strange, proper Time Management sounds too familiar, sounds too easy, they think the answer lies in another direction. I have given thousands of seminars, and the same thing, ALWAYS happens, I start to speak, and a portion of the audiences eyes start to glaze over, they are already tuning me out, and I haven’t even started! It’s as if they hear the words, Time Management and they have already tuned me out.

Just a few ideas on the topic. Do you have any ideas?

The Master Speaks Out About Internet Businesses, Time Management and Who The Hell Cares

January 17th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

This post will be a bit, maybe a lot self indulgent. I have been dealing with Internet Home Businesses, before there was an Internet. I have also been preaching, cajoling, lecturing people on Time Management and it’s importance to their business and personal lives since the early 1980″s. The two of them, Internet Home Businesses and Time Management have had a rocky relationship for a long time. They have been like a married couple, fighting and arguing the whole way, some good days, some bad ones, in the end, a wary truce. First, let me tell you about the Master.

The Master is someone who I met about 6 months ago, on the Internet, imagine that! I actually bought a web site from him, www.sitebizz.com, it was during  the change over of the site that we started to communicate fairly often, it became apparent to him, that as far as the Internet was concerned, I knew practically nothing, and he in turn, knew pretty well everything. I started to rely on his vast experience, and he would freely advise me on my countless questions. At some point, I started calling him the Master, and I sign my emails to him, grasshopper, the Master is Chinese, I THINK, I thought he would appreciate the inside joke.

The Master and I have a strange relationship, he is my guiding light when it comes to all things computer and Internet related, an absolute , well Master, when it comes to these areas, where as I am an absolute zero, in those areas. On the other hand, Johnny’s English , written and spoken ( we have talked on the phone twice, briefly) are to be charitable, suspect. Myself, on the other hand, I have made my living from the written as well as spoken word for more than 40 plus years. We make a good pair!

Which brings me to the purpose of this post. Bottom line, do I have a loser on my hands or do I have something of value to you, an Internet Business owner, someone who works from home, a bricks and motor business owner, just regular people cruising the Internet. Do you care about Time Management, do you connect being happy, productive, achieve what you want out of life with proper Time Management ? The Master says no, I say yes. Listed below is an exact copy of the Masters email to me, I actually cut and paste it myself, very proud of that feat!!

Bryan,

You may not like to hear about that? you already mentioned in your message “people who go to it will know what it is about and if they want to join/ buy, they will be able to”, the point is “DO THEY WANT IT? “   obviously not, doesn’t matter what price you put up, they still won’t convert.

You can check and I believe 2to2 already send some traffic to your powerempowerment.com from your blog posting, but the point is people arrived there and not interested to buy it , even you offering 30 days trial.

Time Managment is something that people don’t think they need it and don’t think they have to pay for those info.

As you already said want to re-design the site again to make it more focus, plus the other reason is the visitors that comes from sitebizz and learn2earn2 are not the people want to learn how to manage their time (non-targeted visitors)

My suggestion, you may not like it…….. Make It FREE and earn money later, make the site grow first and get your reputation out first.

- Instead of keep thinking make a wonderful memebership site, just start from beginning. make it over to be a very basic blog, then you can post unique articles on it day after day. let google bot love the site, get high PR, get good keyword position, then slow monetized the site when traffic grow, like put adsense ads, put affiliate links and earn money that way, forget about the membership concept completely.

  Johnny

There you have the Masters comments on my question to him about the relevancy of Time Management and who would be interested in it.  I would be interested in your feed back. Have a great day.

Internet Home Businesses Need To Find Their Key Time Management Tips

January 15th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business and you do not know what your key Time Management Tips are, you are fighting an uphill battle. The time we all have to build our Internet Home Businesses is limited, what valuable time we have, must be spent doing the activities that will give us the greatest return on our investment. I have been working with my clients on this concept for many years and it works for those that have realized that the road to success does not start with your actual business, but with the skills and attitude you bring to the table that count as much or as more than the actual business itself.

1. Give me a Internet Home  Business Owner who is organized, in control of his time, has a clear set of Priorities, has a game plan and a set Agenda every day and is able to execute and achieve his Agenda, with an average business and I will show you someone who will out perform a person in a superior business but who is not performing near his peak.

It would be difficult to find and compare these two people, but I hope you can see the point I am making. I recently met a lady who wanted to join a new Internet Home Business that I was introducing, she signed up and was ready to start, or so she thought. Quickly, this is her situation, she has 9 children, 7 under the age of 11, her husband is a long haul trucker, is gone for two weeks at a stretch and is then only home on the weekends, she is basically a single mom. She signed up for the business because she needed some extra income and she wanted an Internet Home Business she could operate from home, an apparent perfect match.

The very first thing I said to her was, what are your going to replace, to make room for the business? What do you mean she said, I thought you said the business was part time? It is, part time means less than full time, but even a part time business requires some hours.

This is the place we need to start. This is your key Time Management tip for Internet Home Businesses. It sounds incredibly basic but the vast majority of people do not takes these few steps and then seemed surprised that they are not successful.

1. When you are looking at starting a new business or job from home, you need to realistically asses how much time the new activity will take and then see if you have that amount of time available to invest.  Look at what you do now, look at how full your schedule is and see if there is any open time that is not being used. The chances of this free time just sitting there is rare, but take a look and make that assessment.

2. If you do have free avaiaable time, lock it up for your new Internet Home Business. What ever system you are using  to control and manage your time, use  it to Time Activate this time, for more on this, visit, www.powertimesystem.com. If you do not have free available time, like the majority of us, move on to the next step.

3. This is where the rubber meets the road, this is the step that we fail to make and this is how we end up in trouble. Having found no free available time, we have to decide what is important to us and then make the switch.  The switch is when you decide what current activity is going to be taken out of its current Time Activated time slot and be replaced with your new activity, your Internet Home Business activities. You have to come to the realization that 10 pounds of crap, does not fit into a 5 pound bag. If you want to become successful, happy and realize as many goals as you can in life, this is a leap of faith you are going to have to make.

This is only one key Time Management Tip for your Internet Home Business, but it is a huge one. You have to stop trying to just jam more and more activities into an already jammed up , over flowing schedule. This way of doing business and living does not work. If this way of operating sounds familiar to you, ask yourself this simple question, am I happy with the results I have been getting up to now? If the answer is yes, then you are golden and there is no need for you to change, if you are not happy, then we have some work to do.

Getting Your Key Priority Accomplished Every Day is Important to Internet Home Business Owners

January 14th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

The number one reason Internet Home Businesses fail is not because they do not have a good product or an effective web page, it’s because they fail to do what we all struggle to do on a daily basis, get the one really crucial task we want to get done, done. This does not mean we do not work hard all day, that is not enough, what we need to accomplish is the one task that will make our day, the one task that will have the greatest positive impact on us, from a performance point of view as well as the crucial emotional point of view. Internet Home Businesses require us to be on top of our game, that means we need to be emotional fired up and in a good mood to get the most accomplished on a day to day basis.

For a long time, I personally underestimated the emotional side of business, I was concerned about the nuts and bolts, there was always so much to do in this area, and we were getting excellent results, why was there a need to change our approach? Great results are fine, but when you have the ability to get phenomenal results, you have an obligation to get those as well. I was underestimating the value to our over all performance and well being of our emotional state as we worked through our day. The same circumstance was coming up again and again, thought my entire customer, client and membership base. The same event was happening and we were all suffering the same negative impact. It seems so simple and obvious now, but it did take a while to piece together the cause and effect.

This is a common scenerio for almost all of us. We start our day, and there is one thing that pops out at us that we really want to get done, it can be something as simple as making a phone call, getting something delivered, picked up, setting up an appointment, what it is does not matter, all we know is we want to get that ONE thing done TODAY.

What happens next is all too common. We get in to work, or if we are operating an Internet Home Business, we walk over to our computer and start our day, with every intention of getting that one important task done but all hell breaks loose. The phone starts ringing and it does not stop, we get new, unexpected visitors, we have urgent e-mails from customers demanding we deal with their Agendas, it does not stop, all day. That is the reality of our lives, it is within this context that we have to function and then try to prosper as well as perhaps, if we are lucky, actually end up being happy.

At this end of this very typical day, we end up not accomplishing that important single task we really had our hearts set on getting done. The result is, we get pissed off at ourselves among other things. We also get angry, we get stressed out, we get disillusioned, we get frustrated and the end result of all of this is, we usually do it all over the next day because we do not take the corrective steps to solve the route cause of all of this, we do not have control of out time, nor ourselves. Join the club, you have lots of company.

The significance of all of this is the cost we all bear from this particular event happening, repeatedly. The cost is emotional, which then translates into lost production, poor overall performance, loss of enjoyment, we just become stressed out angry people, at ourselves. After dealing with thousands and thousands of Internet Home Businesses and their owners, I have seen the negative impact of not getting what may seem to a significant task done, can have on our ability to function.

I hope this has struck a cord with some of us. it is not a good cord, but unfortunately, its an all too familiar one. I always try to get as many people as possible to look at what they accomplish and to try to pick activities that will give them the greatest return for the least amount of time and effort expended. I call these activities maximizer’s. In this case, you have a huge opportunity to do just one task each day that will give you massive benefits in return. The most important benefit is that you will be emotional super charged, by the very fact you were able to get what you wanted to get done, actually done.

I will leave you with this. Do not over estimate the positive impact of you being able to accomplish your number 1 A Priority on a regular basis. To read more, visit, www.powerempowerment.com
