Article Marketing, Owning an Internet Home Business, the REAL Goods on This Mis Understood Topic

March 6th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, or your thinking about getting one, you are going to go heads up with this topic. As previously posted here in the last few days, getting traffic to our sites is a major hurdle, hassle, problem all Internet Home Business owners face. If you do not have this problem, of getting traffic to your site, PLEASE contact me with your secret :)   First and foremost, this information here is free and I do not gain in any way or fashion by giving out this information. That is the first step in understanding the article submission, traffic driving connection, you must always know who you are talking too and whether that person will financially benefit from what he or she tells you.

Lets lets look at the outright lie that article submission companies, software, program sellers, outsources and the like tell you about article writing.

If you write articles and then submit those articles, the result will be ” massive ” traffic to your site.

This is an out right lie, a massive scam and one that wastes the valuable time, money and resources of hundreds of thousands of people who own an Internet Home Business. I include myself in this group. These scammers prey on the desperation of people who set up an Internet Home Business, and then find themselves in the position of no traffic, and then no sales. There is really two issues at play here, writing articles, and then what to do with them once you have written.

First, article writing. Articles, if they are original and you have written them, are great, as long as you know how to use them and realize the limitations of them. Original articles you have written, put up on your site, serve a number of uses. First and foremost, search engines like original content and if that content is on your site, you will, eventually get some benefit from the search engines. If you have the right key words and the right density, over time these articles will be indexed and your Page Rank will rise and hopefully, over time, you will get more organic traffic.

If you embark on the course of writing articles, you must do so with the first and foremost objective that you want to use your articles as a way to build up your own site, get more original content on your site, and finally, realize that your original content will do you the most good, on your own site. If you listen to the other people out there, the ones that have something to gain from you financially in regards to you writing articles, then you are in for a rude shock.

The scam out there is this, write articles, pay me to do something with your articles, namely submit them to other sites and sources, and then watch the avalanche of traffic to your site. Do not buy into this myth, it simply does not happen. There is a multi million dollar industry out there that makes it money off people who own an Internet Home Business and have to have traffic to survive. there are thousands of new Internet Home Business owners coming onto the Internet daily, they all need this elusive traffic. They are all prime victims of the scammers who say, write a few articles, let me submit them, for a fee, and then watch the traffic come. You write your article, you pay your fee, but the traffic never comes.

If you go to one of my sites, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com, you will see about 60 original articles. In my early days, when I knew no better, I submitted those articles to the scammers. I was suppose to get massive traffic to my site, that was 9 months ago. Ask me how much traffic all of that work produced, the answer, out of 100, maybe, one or two visitors. The problem you have is this, if you submit your original articles to the scammers, you then will not get full benefit from the search engines because your original work on your site, is now not considered original, because it appears some where else. How is that for getting caught between a rock and a hard place.

One last word, for now on this topic. To muddy the water even further, the rules about article marketing, submissions, search engines, original content, the whole ball of wax, the rules are never ever clearly outline to us poor souls who own an Internet Home Business. More about why, tomorrow.  Have a great day.

Internet Home Business Owners Feedback on Posting Daily on Blogs

March 5th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

One of the life lines of an Internet Home Business is blogging. I know a great deal about owning an Internet Home Business, from the operational, management and functionality of the business, but I do have some major holes in my expertise, one of those holes is in blogging. So, as I write this post, please feel free to jump in and correct me on the details that I am missing. My premise is that like you, if we own an Internet Home Business, one of the ways to get us out there and known on the Internet is to blog, and blog and then blog some more. If I am wrong on this, please let me know.

As most of you who have read a few of my posts, one of my key priorities has been to blog, on a daily basis, on this blog, as well as my blog at, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com. The purpose of my blogging, is this.

1. Create content that is of value to people.  That has to be the foundation of a blog, as far as I can see. If you own an Internet Home Business, you are looking for ways and means to improve your business, as well as your self. If we do not move forward as people and improve our skill set, progress is limited, if at all. On the two blogs I have, I feel that I have a message, content, that will be beneficial to people who read it. Why else would people waste their time, reading something that is of no value to them?, it makes no sense other wise.

The competition is intense out there, the competition for peoples time and interest. Unless people feel, very strongly about what you have to say, you will be lost in the crush of the thousands and thousands of other blogs and web sites out there, all competing for the attention of the people on the Internet. Up to know, I really have no idea who reads my blog, if anyone. That is a problem, who is out there and is anyone reading what I have to say. If you are there and reading this, does it make any sense to you? :)

2. Blogging is a commercial exercise, for most of us anyway. An Internet Home Business is just a hobby, until someone comes to your site and actually buys what you have  for sale. Getting people to our sites, owners of an Internet Home Business, is a massive problem for us. If you have solved this dilemma, of getting traffic to your site, PLEASE let me know your secret. From my limited experience on the mechanics of the Internet, I have been told that blogging, consistently, is one of the ways to get your Internet Home Business out there, and to get that elusive traffic to your site.

I an hopping that over time, my blogging activities will get , interested people to my blog, site, and will help me get my name out there. The real issue is this, how long and how well. How long will it take for this process to work, and when it works, how well will it work?

One last thought on this topic, one that will appear again and again I am sure, is this, has the real purpose of blogs been taken over by the marketers on the Internet? I am sure, that everyone who owns an Internet Home Business, at least those who want to make a commercial success of their sites, looks at blogging and asks themselves this question,   ” do I want to commute with people or do I want to make money? “  To cloud the waters even more, can we do both ?   Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

Feed back from owners of an Internet Home Business on Getting Traffic to Their Sites

March 4th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, you have the problem of getting traffic to your site. If you are just looking at getting an Internet Home Business, you MUST be aware that getting traffic is a significant issue / problem you will have to address. This is an area that I am struggling with and because of this, I want to make sure that if anyone is visiting my site and is thinking of buying or getting themselves an Internet Home Business, you take the appropriate steps.

Funny thing, I am not sure what those steps would be. First, you need to know, from someone who does not have anything to gain from you getting an Internet Home Business or not, that this process of getting, building and maintaining  traffic is a long process, the key word is long. How long, think months to get some traffic, years, to get significant amounts. That has been my experience, and the experience of those around me that have nothing to gain from telling you the truth.

This is important, who you get your info from. if you are getting your information from a third party, with nothing to gain, like myself, then you are going to get the real story, get some information from someone who is going to benefit from your involvement, be very very aware that their answers will be severely biased. If they are going to financially gain from their answers to you, the chances they are going to be honest with you is slim to none. The Internet is unfortunately a very dishonest place to do business on. When it comes to honest people, people who own an Internet Home Business on the Internet, the percentage of honest people to dishonest people is about 90% to 10 %, the 90% being the dishonest ones.

You may find that a bit alarming but it has been my experience that because of the relative anonymity of the Internet, anyone can open up an Internet Home Business, say what ever they want, sell what ever they want, and if you are unhappy and have been mislead, what is your recourse? I should however add something here that will make what I am saying more relevant. The greatest percentage of the scammers and crooks, are in the marketing side of the Internet economy. People, who claim to be able to sell you traffic visitors to your site for example. There are hundreds, not, thousands of sites/ people out there who claim they will be  able to get traffic to your Internet Home Business Site. This segment of the Internet is just infested with people who have no intention, let alone a way of fulfilling the promises they make to desperate people, they want your money and once they get it, they are gone and they are untouchable.

So how do you get traffic to your  site, if you have an Internet Home Business? That is a whole other post. The fact is, if there was a  sure fire way to get traffic to a site, that person would be a millionaire, several times over. Getting traffic is not a one way method, it is a combination of 10, 15 or 20 different activities, all pointing to getting your Internet Home Business out there on the Internet, so people will know you actually exist and will visit your site.

The best way to find out how to get REAL people traffic to your site is to put this in any search engine, ” getting traffic to my Internet Home Business site “, and then stand back. You will have your choice of hundreds of sites that will be offering you FREE advice on how to get real people traffic to your site. These sites, forums, blogs, are all free resources for you, there will be days, months worth of information on how to get and build organic traffic to your site.

This is a good place to start. One word of caution, if anyone says they will deliver traffic to your site for a fee, run the other way, FAST.   Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

Comments on Blog, Owning an Internet Home Business and Generating Traffic

March 3rd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, probably the number one problem/issue you have is traffic. No traffic, no business, it’s that simple. When you are looking at getting involved with an Internet Home Business, you must look at exactly how you are going to generate traffic to your site. I am amazed at the ads  and web sites out there that are pushing owning an Internet Home Business as a way to make money, without addressing this issue of getting traffic to your site. Its taking advantage of new people to the Internet and their lack of experience.

I bought this Internet Home Business several months ago and I have since found out that the traffic figures were vastly over stated from the previous owner. I now am in a position to build the traffic figures up myself, not a position that I wanted to be in. As a new person to the Internet, I am going through the usual rounds of ways to build traffic. There are really only a few legitimate ways to get traffic to your site, I will list a few of them here, as well as my comments on them. If you own an Internet Home Business, I hope you find these useful, if nothing else, I hope I can save you some time and money.

1. Buy Traffic.  WOW there, this one is a land field, buyer beware. The ads are everywhere, get 50,000 visitors to your site for only 99.95. Sounds too good too be true, and guess what, it is too good to be true because it isn’t. Buy traffic is a good way to throw your money down the tube. If you could really buy 50,000  REAL VISITORS to your web site, don’t you think everybody who owned a web site or an Internet Home Business would be buying these visitors, daily !!.  I, along with many many other newbies went down this path, we all ended up in the same place, money forked over, zero REAL VISITORS.

The key here is real REAL visitors, REAL as in people. Sure, you may have gotten hits on your counters, but were they even people? Yes, their are companies that pay people to sit there, and have them click on web site after web site for1/10 of a penny a click, all day long. Yes, there is a market for people to click on web sites, all day long, and people get paid 5.00 a day for this mind numbing task, all in the name of selling TRAFFIC to web sites like mine and yours. Aint the Internet grand. This is unfortunately the under belly of the Internet, the side that exists to make money for the people out there with no conscience or morals.

What this industry does is pray on the people who simply want to make and build an Internet Home Business for themselves. They get people who are either just new to the industry and it sounds like a good idea, or they pray on people who have been in the industry for awhile and are so desperate they will try anything. Either way, people need traffic and they will try just about anything to get it. One thing an Internet Home Business needs to survive, is traffic, without it, there is no business.

The end of the line on buying traffic is this, it does not exist. For traffic to have any value to you, as an owner of an Internet Home Business, the traffic has to be a real person, who has at least some interest in what your site is about or what you have available for sale. Despite all of the claims of the traffic sellers, what is the bottom line is this, real people, who are interested in what you have to offer, that is what you need to have to survive. There has been much interest in this topic, so I will be back tomorrow with more feedback.   Have great day.

Time Management, Owning an Internet Home Business and Success

March 2nd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

Owning an Internet Home Business can be an incredibly rewarding experience, it can also be a disaster, what makes the difference? I have worked with thousands of Internet Home Business owners over the years, there are traits that the successful ones have, that the ones who succeed do not. The most surprising piece of the puzzle for successful Internet Home Business owners is not what you may think.

Having the best Internet Home Business is NOT what separates the winners from the losers, what separates them is being the best operator. Yes, being the best operator, or owner, is what makes the difference. Give me a person who operates and functions at peak performance that is where my money will be. I have dealt with hundreds of people in the same Internet Home Business; some people will be head and shoulders above of others, why? Here are some of those reasons.

Successful owners of an Internet Home Business that are doing the right things at the right time, have a tremendous maximizing effect and benefit that will grind down weaker operators.  There are always activities that will get better results than others. For example, to get new sales, new customers, having a good prospecting program in place will always pay off in the long run. A good operator will be making the calls, returning the calls, making the appointments that will pay off in the future.

These are the traits of a successful owner of an Internet Home Business. It is this kind of day to day activities that separate the winners from the losers. The way to get this kind of discipline, have a personal Agenda of your own, be in charge of your time, is to have a good personal operating system. For more details, take a look here, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com . Becoming successful in anything, particularly owning an Internet home Business, means being able to consistently do the right activities, on a regular basis, over a long period of time.

At the top of this post I mentioned that one of the key pieces of the puzzle was that to be successful, you wanted to spend your time being the best possible operator, and less time on trying to find the perfect Internet Home Business. Finding the best business is sometimes like finding a needle in a haystack, but spending your time on being the best owner or operator is totally within your grasp. Remember, if you work on being the best owner, those skills will always be with you, regardless of what business you may be in.

The Internet Home Business you are currently working with may or may not be the one you have in a year or two, but the skills you learn and develop over time, will always be part of you. I refer to Time Management as self management, when we are able to make sure we get the activities that will bring us the most return on our time invested, done on a consistent basis, we will then be able to really be in a position to take advantage of any Internet Home Business that comes our way.

I am not suggesting that you do not spend the appropriate amount of time looking for the best Internet Home Business you can find, what I am saying is this, spend as much time, or more, on working and develop your skills as an owner, the pay off will be huge.   Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

One Internet Home Business is Enough For Me Thanks !!

March 1st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

I started working on the Internet in earnest about a year ago, after being in the bricks and mortar world for over 30 years. I started with one Internet Home Business, and then another Internet Home Business, and before I knew it, I had over 20 web sites. It took me awhile to figure it out, but I was in trouble with the first Internet Home Business, let alone the other 19.

It was a very steep learning curve, one that I am still learning. Owning an Internet Home Business is a very different kettle of fish than a land line business. The set up of the business, getting your ‘ doors “ open so to speak, getting traffic, getting conversions, all of this on line is much harder than doing the same tasks  on land, so to speak. I am going to make a short list of the mistakes that I made by trying to open up more than one Internet Home Business at a time

  1. One at a time.  The more I talk and work with people, who own more than one Internet Home Business, the more common this mistake of trying to work with more than one business at a time seems to be. The misconception is this, all you have to do to be in business is to set up a site, stick an Internet Home Business on it, and stand back and the money will just flow in.

Having a site up, is only the first step, and probably the easiest. I will get to the site in a moment, but you have to realize that just because you have a site up, does not mean that sales will follow. Not only that, having multiple sites up, owning more than one Internet Home Business, does not in any way mean that several is better than one. I am surprised, but I made that very rookie, but crucial mistake. All having more than one site up at once means is instead of having no traffic and no sales on one site; you will be able to spread the misery over as many undeveloped sites as you own.

  1. Traffic is the missing link no one wants to talk about.  At the beginning of starting your first Internet Home Business, you are full of enthusiasm, excitement, about starting a business. I have been there, done that, its part of the process. Also part of the process is getting customers and getting sales, something that is not easy on the Internet. Not only is not easy, it is down right hard.

The problem of getting traffic on the Internet is this; no one can say for sure, exactly how to go about doing it. Yes, for sure, everyone has a theory, every one will offer up their educated guess, but, at the end of the day, the search engines like to keep their secrets very close to their collective vests.  It is this uncertainty about how to get traffic that makes this process so hard on everyone, you have to constantly ask yourself this question “ am I going about this the right way, am I going to get the best results ?

The traffic question is one that any one who is going to have an Internet Home Business has to be able to answer. Not only do you have to answer the question, you have to be able to drive enough traffic to your site to make it profitable.

The hype surrounding an Internet Home Business is mind numbing. The promises, the dreams that will be realized, the homes, cars, money, all without any effort on your part, are out there, in the thousands, probably the millions. In my opinion, the chances of success in an Internet Home Business are less than 5 % and that estimate may be too high. You have to do your home work and you have to be very careful, especially about answering the question about getting traffic to your site.   Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

Update on Internet Home Business Operating System

February 28th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, or two, you need to make sure you as many tools as you can get to help you become successful. One of those tools is having a Time Management personal operating system, take a look at his one, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com. What a Time Management personal operating system does, is the same thing your computers operating system does, makes everything happen, allows all of the different functions on your computer to  work together, without one, you are going nowhere fast.

An Internet Home Business is a complex operation, it takes planning, organization, prioritizing, setting goals, there is a great deal going on, if you do not have a system in place to co ordinate all of this, you are fighting an uphill battle on a very slippery slope. Here are some of the advantages that you, as an Internet Home Business owner, will experience from using a Time Management personal operating system.

 1. Checks and balances.  Its very helpful to be able to look over, and see at a glance if your are on the right track. A good Time Management system will help you organize, set up and run your day to day operations. Having this system in place will reduce the times you are going off course, and when you do get pushed off course, you will be able to scramble back much quicker.

  2. Have a plan, work your plan.  We all have heard the saying, he never planned to fail, he just failed to plan. This is a two step process, you must have a plan, and when that plan is in place, work that plan, make it happen. Without a daily system in place, your chance of success are virtually zero. If part of your daily routine is to establish a plan, a written plan on a daily basis, then you are at least going to be aware of when it is not there, hopefully this will trigger some action on your part resulting in getting this process done on a daily routine.

Having a written plan for the day, is the first step in getting control over your time and then making better use of that time. The days that I do my best, get my priorities accomplished, are the days that I follow my plan most closely. Having a plan makes seeing as the day is going by, how well you are doing and where you may need to make changes and add up on somethings and delete others. An Internet Home Business requires constant attention, you need to be able to address issues and get then attended to as soon as they arise, a good Time Management system will help you in this regard.

  3. Goal setting for an Internet Home Business is crucial.  Setting and then monitoring goals for your Internet Home Business is almost an impossible task unless you have an organized written down system to do this for you. The missing link that people miss in this process, is that after they set their goals, they do not integrate those goals into their day to day operations. They set the goals, then their day to day schedules get filled up, and the time to get the goals done is not there , it gets eaten up by other tasks.

You need to Time Activate your goals if they are to ever have a chance of being accomplished, more here on Time Activating goals, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com . The problem we all face, owners of an Internet Home Business or not, we all want to do too much. Our plates are over flowing and we still want to pile more on top. I have been doing this for more than 30 years, and in the last 6 months, have struggled with this problem, struggled and lost I might add.

Here a just a few advantages of having a good Time Management personal operating system in your bag of tricks. More on this tomorrow, have a great day.

If you Own an Internet Home Business, You Need an Operating System

February 27th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

Owning an Internet Home Business requires at least the same skill set as operating a computer, would you not agree? If so, why does your computer have an operating system, and more than likely, you as the owner of an Internet Home  Business , do not? When you think about it, it’s crazy that over 95% of the people out there try to operate a business, as well as navigate life, without any assistance or help at all. I am referring to the help, assistance, guidance that a good operating system can provide you. Take a look at this site for some free help, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com .

What the heck is an operating system for someone who owns an Internet Home Business? It can be a lot of things, here are a few examples.

  1. Helps you manage your time. People who know me and follow this blog, know my passion for proper Time Management. Without controlling your time, you are fighting an uphill battle, one that I have yet see anyone win. Everything we do, flows through our use of time. How we invest our time, how we decide which tasks get out time and which ones do not, these are the decisions that decide if we win or lose, it is that simple. A good operating system deals with all the issues that pertain to time, that system will give you the tools, just like the operating system on your computer, to manage, control, and integrate all of the decisions that deal with time issues.

You need to be able to reach over right now, and place your hand, physically on the ways and means you make all of your daily decisions that effect your Internet Home Business, as well as your personal life. You can do this step with your computer, you should be able to do it just as easily for your Internet home Business and life in general as well.

  2. Gives you direction and focus.  You need, you want to be able to wake up every day, and have a focus and a direction for that day; laid out for, planned out by you, and coordinated by your personal operating system. The one I recommend for your is this one, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com.  The Power Time Management System provides you with a step by step, comprehensive system that will help you get a clear direction and focus to your Internet Home Business, as well as your life. As always, if you are reaping the maximum benefit and joy out of life, then you are in the less than 5 % that are doing so, and as they say, I have nothing that can improve on that.

I have been working on Time Management issues for the last 30 years, and I will working on them, for I hope, longer than the next 30 years. Getting a focus and a direction in life, is not an easy task. Trying to do both without the proper tools, is like, well, getting the results some of us are getting now. If you want more of the same, keep doing what you are currently doing, if you want different results, you need to do different things. One of those different things is to get a proper operating system as soon as possible.

Owning and operating an Internet Home Business, and then making that business a success, requires dedication, perseverance as well as having all of the right tools in place. If your computer has an operating system, don’t you think you deserve one as well?

If you own an Internet Home Business, you need to take  advantage of every tool that is out there to make your job as easy as possible. Adding a good operating system to your arsenal of tools should be your first step.   Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

If You Own an Internet Home Business, How Do You Handle This Issue

February 26th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, you probably have a Blog, if you do, I would like your feedback on this issue. On my Internet Home Business, on this site, I am using my blog to get material and content out to people on the Internet. I am hoping this is a good way to do that. As people who read my posts here know, I an an expert in some areas, but a newbie in others, perhaps not unlike a lot of people on the Internet. The difference between myself and others, I admit I am a newbie in the areas that I am not an expert in, in the inner workings of blogs is one of the areas that I need work on.

As I mentioned, even though I own an Internet Home Business or two, or three, I need help with my blog work. The first question is the transferring of information to other people,  is a blog a good way to do that? The adage that content is king is not lost on me, I do have 30 years of past experience to offer up and I am hoping that posting regularly on my blog/ blogs is a good way to do that. Any help you could give on this particular topic would be appreciated.

Next, the big one, what to do with the posts that come in? I am fast learning that the way some people get links back to their page is to put a post up on someone Eese’s blog, with  a link back to their page. Unfortunately, what was a good idea at the beginning has turned into a rats nest. The  initial concept of  people putting up ideas, content, thoughts on specific topics, and then if people were interested, they could comment and form relationships and communities with like minded people. It seemed like a good idea at the time, till it got basterdized.

It seems what we have now ,  for the people who  own an Internet Home Business, is a good idea run amok. The problem, and I think a problem for everyone who has a blog, is to differentiate the real people, from the people who are just looking for a link. The ones that are just ads are easy to get rid of, it’s the ones that write a line or two, what do you do with these? Is it up to the owner of the blog to either care about the comments, or do you just approve all of the ones that are not out and out ads and let the chips land where they may. If you own an Internet Home Business, have a blog, what do you do to handle this situation?

Is there a way to figure out if the posts on a blog come from a person, or a bot, or does it matter? If the post is not real, what is the difference, if they is no interest in what you have to say, does it really matter if it is a comment from  a disinterested person or a bot that is looking for the link. I would like to know if there is a way of knowing if comments come from people or bots, if you know, drop me a line, thanks.

How long do you have to wait to find out if people care about what you have to say or not? I bought this site, www.learn2earn2.com, just about 2 and 1/2 months ago. I have put up 63 posts on this blog in that time frame. I do not seem to be getting the kind of comments and interaction I see on other blogs. The question is, is what I have to say not of any value to anyone, hence the lack of relevant comments, or is it just too early to perhaps get an audience. This site is suppose to be getting around 200 to 300 visitors a day, I would of thought that would of been enough people to see if my message is of interest to people. Another question is this, out of 200 visitors to the main site, how many will even click over to the blog?

If you own  an Internet Home Business, your use of time is crucial to you, that is my message on this blog, as well as my main Time Management site, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com , I was hoping that people who have an Internet Home Business, that came to this site, would see the value of this material in helping them become successful. Pardon the pun, but only time will tell:)  Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

A 30 Year Tip for People who Own an Internet Home Business

February 25th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Businesses

If you own an Internet Home Business, I have a tip that has taken me 30 plus years to learn and to be honest, I still struggle with it. I own an Internet Home Business, and I thought that this business would be like the ones that I own in the bricks and mortar world, not so. Operating an Internet Home Business has it’s own set of problems, different than the problems of a business in what I call the real world. I am a bit off topic, my point is this, operating an Internet Home Business is a tough task, tougher than a business out in the real world.

What is the 30 tip, this, what ever you are trying to do, cut it in half, at least. That may not be earth shattering, but it could be the best advice you get for some time. I consider myself a very experienced business person, I have been around for 30 plus years in the business world and to be honest, I have had a rough time finding my bearings when it has come to getting my balance with my own Internet Home Business. Actually the problem is not my single Internet Home Business, but the 4 or 5 thought I thought I could handle at the same time.

I own a site that deals with Time Management issues, www.powertimemanagementsystems.com, I am a little embarrassed to say that, after taking such a long time to find my bearings on the Internet, and I still do not think I am there yet. I made the classic rookie mistakes, mistakes that I know better not to make, but made them none the less.

The classic rookie mistake was taking on far too much, filling my plate up till it over flowed, and then I still added more to it !!.  There is something about what appears to be easy on the Internet, but in reality, the time it takes to build and develop a Internet Home Business is staggering. Not only do we have the traditional business issues to deal with, we have the added burden of building traffic, and then  getting ranked on the Search engines.

Back to my tip, cut everything in half. This may be a knee jerk reaction to my own struggle on the Internet, but after talking to quite a few people on my sites, this seems to be a common problem. In reality, I have about 15 web sites, 5 main ones, and then about 10 sites that are in various states of being finished. My 5 main sites, are also not where  I want them to be. This leaves me with a horrendous problem of being stretched far too thin, and having to make decisions about what to drop and what to work on.

Since the beginning of the New Year  I have been chopping and dumping things off my plate, it was overflowing and I was not focused and my results were suffering. I an down to 3 main sites and I still think I need to chop down to one, to do that one justice. I should of been happy with one good Internet Home Business, instead of trying to work on more, and end up with none of them being successful. Part of the problem was that I was trying to learn an new industry, the Internet, as well as setting up new businesses at the same time.

I learned that I have to set up my first Internet Home Business, make it successful, before I tackle the second. That sounds pretty basic advice, but it has taken me 30 years to learn it, I hope I have saved you some time.
