Thinking of Starting an Internet Home Business? How to Seperate the Scams from the Real Deal

April 9th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

Lets zero in on the tools that you are going to be using for what ever Internet Home Business that you decide to get involved with. This post is not about picking a business, its about building what ever business you have decided on.

1. If the sales page for what ever you are looking at buying is longer than two continuous  pages, run for the hills. You may think this is a bit  strange but the longer the sales page, the more likely its a scam. We are all familiar with the sales pages that go on and on, forever, I personally have never seen one of those NOT be a scam. If you have, send it to me, will be glad to look at it and report back.

The purpose of an never ending sales is to get you all hyped up, get you sold and then get you to press the add to cart button before you have had a chance to really thing about what  you are buying. they wear you down, they get you at a weak moment and then presto, your in. Do  a little research, look at the legitimate sites, see how they approach the sales side of things, they have single sales pages where they lay out their pitch, they treat you with some respect, and they let you evaluate their products on your time table. These are the sites you want to buy  your tools from.

2.   If all the web site page is just a long scrolling sales pitch, a very bad sign. Once again, never seen a legitimate Internet Home Business with just a sales page for a site and nothing else. Ditto above, send one to  me that is legitimate and I will post it. If all they can come up with for their product is a sales page, you are really risking a lot to do business with them.

Another risk with doing business with just a sales page, they usually do not have a contact us button, nor can you find out who you are really business with. It’s bad enough doing business on the Internet, but to do business with just a ” add to the cart ” button, that’s pushing it a bit.

3.  If they are more than 2 bonuses as part of the product for sale, another tell tale sign of a scam. If the people selling the product, are not identifiable and are trying to sweeten the pot with multiple bonuses, its scam city. Legitimate products can stand on their own two feet, if the people need to make it seem that the bonuses are more important than the product itself, stand back and walk away.

4.  This is one of my all time favorites, if they say that there are limiting the sale of the product to the first 100 people, its a thousand percent scam, absolutely GUARANTEED a scam. To prove to yourself that this gambit is a scam. go back to this site, a week, a month, a year latter, that same message will be there. In the age of computers, the idea that they will be limiting the sale of any product  to just a 100 people is an insult to any ones intelligence.

Real Internet Home Businesses, have a real web site up, with the usual contact us, who we are info, they want you to know who and what they are because they want to build a relationship with their potential customers. Scammers who have 2 mile long sales pages with no  contact us info just want your money.    Have a great evening, see you tomorrow.

Thinking of Starting an Internet Home Business?, Full Time or Part Time ?

April 8th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

Before I started my Internet Home Business, I had more than 30 years business experience and I ended up making more mistakes with this one Internet Home Business than I would ever of thought possible. This famous expression comes to mind,  ” if I  knew now, what I thought I knew then, I would be rich. “  What I thought was, all I have to do to be successful is to grab just a tiny fraction of all those millions of people on the Internet, and I will be okay. This is really embarrassing but I used to sit there and say, if each person who visits my Internet Home Business web site spends just one measly dollar, look at all the money I will have.

I am obviously pointing out just the financial aspects of my involvement on the Internet to illustrate a point. My point is this, the Internet is a very challenging place to do business on/in, even people who should know better, people like myself, get caught up in the implied hype of the Internet. I have learned incredibly  quickly, some of the things that I took for granted, this blog will be pointing out those things that you should be on the lookout for, hopefully saving you time and money in the process.

The question is, whether to start full time or part time, my advice is part time without question, here is why;

1. I call it the incubation period, the time it takes to have a functioning Internet Home Business, the time from when your web site is up and when you start to see some results. In this case, we are talking business, so results would have to be sales, correct?  There are a number of different time frames here, the  start of the planning process, then the actually building of the web  site, and then when does the business, traffic come, and then when do you see sales.

2. What I am trying to avoid are people who think that starting a business on the Internet is a quick, simple, easy way to make money and they just jump in full time and think the money starts rolling in. Looking at the millions of ads and offers out there, you would think that was the case, but it is not, I am speaking from experience as well as getting feed back from people who read this blog and contact me with their stories of misadventure on the Internet.

If I had to compare starting a business on the outside, and then starting the same business on the inside, on the Internet, there is no question that the Internet start up is significantly more difficult. Two of the more difficult points to over come are getting your web site indexed on the search engines and a connected issue, getting traffic to your site. Those topics deserve posts all on there own, but deserved a mention here. Be aware, the Internet is a whole new ball of wax compared to the outside world, skills  and experience you have out there, does not necessarily translate into success on the inside.

3.  The advantage of starting part time is that you can start the tasks that need to take time to work, while you are still keeping that full time pay cheque coming in. Here is a partial list of things that have to happen for you to actually have a functioning Internet Home Business;  Picking and establishing your keywords, then seeing if they are going to work for you, this involves a lot of testing and for time to elapse to see if you are making any head way, time frame, realistically, 6 months to a year!! Getting your web site indexed and crawled by the search engines spiders, again months. Tweaking an already finished web site is almost an ongoing job, for a new Internet Home Business, almost a necessity, again months.

This is just a small sampling of what has to take place BEFORE you really have any shot at starting to see any money at all. All of these activities and more can and should be done on a part time basis before  you make any steps about quitting any jobs to go full time on the Internet. More tomorrow, have a great day.

A New Direction for This Internet Home Business Blog

April 7th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

I am working on building this site up, there is a lot of work that I have to do to make it the Internet Home  Business that I want it to be. I want part of the site to be a place that people who are getting set up, can come and get some good unbiased advice on how to set up and run a real Internet Home Business. I mean real in the sense that they actually have a service, product or information that they personally  own that they want to share with other people.

I am working on changing the name of the Blog to one of the following,

Free Internet Home Business Tutorials

Free Internet Home Business Support

Free Internet Home Business Marketing Help

Free Internet Home Business Help

Free Internet Home Business Start Up Help

You  get the picture. Which one do you like, have a suggestion of your own.  I have 30 years experience helping people with starting and developing  their own businesses. The advent of the Internet Home Business boom means there are many more people out there who see the Internet as their salvation. When ever there is a market like this one, there will always  be the sharks out there smelling blood in the water. The sharks are the people who prey on the inexperienced people who are looking for a way to make a few bucks, in this case , start a small Internet Home Business, supplement their income, may be get to the point where they can quit their day job and make a go of it.

Unfortunately, the Internet is a dangerous place to do business, especially for the people who want to start up a business of their own. It is this market that I feel I have something to offer. I am a strange combination of business expertise, and a newness to the Internet. I am still absolutely  amazed at the way that the majority of people do business on the Internet, amazed and befuddled. Amazed at the brazen scams that people are trying to peddle, and befuddled at the people who actually seem to buy into these schemes. I can not be too cocky, I actually did pay for some traffic to be sent to an Internet Home Business site of mine. I guess there is a first time for everything.

From now on, I will be spending as much time as I can on promoting and explaining ways that I feel you should spend building your own Internet Home Business. My back ground is in Time Management, Maximizing Productivity, Stress Reduction, Goal Setting, Marketing, all directed at the person who is starting out on their own, trying to build  a business for themselves.  Yes, I do have a product for sale, it deals with Time Management, take a look around and see if there is anything there of interest for you. Aside from that, on this site there will be Business Opportunities for you to look at, and yes, they will be the dreaded Affiliate Marketing type. My views on AM are well known.

I am not a pitch man for some one else s products, especially the ones that are supposed to be aids for you to build your Internet Home Business, those are the ones that I will be spending a lot of my time on, trying to convince you to NOT use them. I am a firm believer in the organic way to build your business, without the aids of the scammers who are always trying to pull one over on you, as well as the search engines, more on that latter.

Over the next couple of months, you will see a major change in this blog as well as the site. I hope you find the information here useful, informative, and helps you along your journey  as a new Internet Home Business owner.  Have a great evening, see you tomorrow.

There is a Right Way and a Wrong Way to Build an Internet Home Business

April 6th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

You are starting to build your Internet Home Business, you are maybe a newbie, may be not, regardless , you are being bombarded with ads that say for only  $ 67.00 a  month, they will build and deliver 2,000 back links to your new Internet Home Business web site. 2,000 back links each and every month, that will really be a boost to my new business, right?, may be not. Even new people to the Internet have probably seen and heard that getting good quality back links to your site, especially one way links is an excellent way to build up your page rank and also get noticed by the search engines, how could this not be a great deal for me? here is how.

1. Always remember this and never ever forget it, the search engines are not stupid !!! The guy who is selling you 2,000 back links a month to you does not care about you or your new Internet Home Business, he wants to make as many $ 67.00 sales as possible, what happens to you and your business is irrelevant. Something else you have to remember is that there are millions and millions of us out there for him to prey on, people looking to build their businesses and willing to do almost anything to do it, including paying this guy and thousands like him money to do what we  should be doing ourselves.

This is the issue here, the search engines are not stupid, they know how a real web site should get built, the timing, the activities, they know how  a natural real web site gets built, they also know how a phony unnatural web site gets built. Guess what category your web site with 2,000 back links  a month will be put in?

Okay, why should we care, why should we care what the search engines think, as long as I get to the top of Google, whats the difference? There is a huge massive difference between being a naturally built web site and one that uses unnatural manufactured methods to get built . The search engines want to send their customers, the people requesting the searches, to the best sites, period. This is where it gets a bit cloudy, what makes a site good, in the eyes of the search engines? A better question, what makes one Internet Home Business web site better than another?

Both web sites have the same information, both have the same number of back links, both have the same keywords, they are as close as being the same as you can get, but one gets on the first page of the engines, and one is back on page 7, what gives? The engines will never tell us why, we are  forced to guess, that is part of the problem, we never have a clear picture of what to do to get ranked high, we have to take our best educated guesses, but they do give us really good clues.

One of the clues they give us, and in my opinion the best clue is this one. naturally, honesty, integrity, these are the words that get bantered around when the engines talk about HOW to build your Internet Home Business web site. I think that with in reason, most of the ” experts ” agree what it takes to build a high ranking web site, what is up for a bit of discussion is HOW  we go about building our sites. I said a bit of a discussion,  I don’t think there is much to discuss, build your web site in a sneaky underhanded fashion, you are going to get penalized by the search engines.

The title says, there is a wrong way and a right way to build your Internet Home Business, web site, the wrong way is trying to think you are smarter than the search engines and that you are going to fool them with how you are building your web site. The right way is building your site naturally, building it with integrity and honesty, and building your site for the benefit of your customers, not for the benefit of the search engines. This is a really a  tough line to walk, much more on this in the days to follow. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

What’s My Internet Home Business Going to be About?

April 5th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

This site, is going to be another Internet Home Business that I own, and as some of you know, I bought this site in December, 2009 and have not had a chance to do anything to it, other than start to  blog and find out what I want this site and Internet Home Business is going to be all about. The journey that I am on with my own site is the same one that the people who read this and respond are on as well.

1. This site started out as an Affiliate Marketing site. All that was available were listings for AM programs and some work from home opportunities. The site was set up to attract people who wanted to start an Internet Home Business and offered them some options. Since I am not a fan of new people getting into business and only having AM as products, that is one direction that I will not be going. I may have some AM  programs available, there is a place for them, I will be offering other options .

2. I have 30 years of business experience, much of  it  involving working with people on creating their own business and working that business from home. I want to add a section or two on this site that will become a place that people come to for unbiased  business expertise. There is too much hype out there, directed at new people, all directed at separating them from their money as soon as possible. I know many of my views are not popular with other Internet marketers and as one person put it, I was not making many new friends. In fact, I was, its just that the new friends I was making, were not other  Internet Business people, but new people getting into the industry.

3. My site will be a strange mix of new Internet Home Business people as well as Business Opportunities and Ideas. Where else are you going to find people who need to hear some of the things I have to say, unless you attract them with businesses opportunities in the first place? I am a very strange mix of extensive business experience, over 30 plus years, working with the very people who are now looking to move into starting an Internet Home Business.

The strange part is, my experience on the Internet is limited, BUT, what I know about business is  exactly what the newbies need to hear. The attitude of the new  Internet marketers is that they are some how inventing new ways , all that they are doing is using the same principles that have been around for  centuries to market and build a business. Pretty well  the only differences I can see is that the new Internet marketers are much bolder and more aggressive in trying to scam the new people. That has much to do with the fact that the Internet allows these kinds of people to hide much better, at least in the past, when these guys were scamming people, they had to at least look them in the eye.

4. It would be nice to get a reputation as a site where you can get the straight goods on how  to really build an Internet Home Business without trying to scam people in the process. An example, I got an email today about a new service, you sign up for this service, e book, and they show you in 30 days how to, here is the title” Blog your way to millions “When I read something like that, I only have one question, how do the person who sells that, sleep at night?

I will get emails and posts about that program, all of them will be people who are going to benefit from it financially when ever some bodies buys one of their e books. I also get e mails and posts from people who did pay the $  47.00 for the e book, who did spend the time and effort to follow the instructions, and found out the hard way that there is no such thing as blogging your way to millions. I hope over time that my site, www.learn2earn2.com will become a place that you can come for the real goods on how to build a real Internet Home Business.

I am in the process of cleaning up this site, getting off programs and offerings that are not going to help people, and putting up new things that are going to help people get set up properly. This site  is a work in progress, any suggestions to make the site better, let me know. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

My 100th Post, in 4 Months, What Have I Accomplished?, If Anything

April 4th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

As the owner of this  Internet Home Business, my goal is to create a viable Internet business that serves a purpose with a segment of the people out there. How big is an unknown. One of the ways the experts said to do it was to create a blog and then post on it daily, and make sure what you posts are  interesting, informative and pertinent to your target market. Part of  my target market is going to be like me, they own an Internet Home Business and they are looking to get ahead, financially. I am using my  100th post as a bit of a water shed event, a time to take a look at the time and effort put in over the last 4 months, and see where it has gotten me, and to see if it’s a way I want to continue.

1. There are millions of blogs out there, and there are thousands more coming on line, every day, with that kind of competition, what chance does my tiny blog have of getting known and getting a following? It comes down to why you have a blog and what you want to do with it. I want to help, educate people who  are looking to get into an Internet Home Business and will benefit from what I have to say. I have something to offer, and I know that people in the past have benefited from what I have had to say and offer up. From that perspective, a blog is one of the best ways to do that, passing information along to people and trying to reach the largest possible market.

2. I own a number of Internet Home Businesses and they are all part of the e commerce end of the market. I am struggling a bit with what should do on each site, and what  should be the focus and direction of the sites. This site, www.learn2earn2.com, I just bought 4 months ago, in December of 2009, and as a number of people have kindly pointed out, the site is a mess!! There is a foundation of a good site there, but it needs some work, not a lot, but some, to get it turned around. part of turning it around means getting a clearer idea of what I want the site to be, and to also co ordinate that with what my  other sites will offer as well.

3. No discussion about an Internet Home Business would ever be complete with out bringing in the impact of the search engines and SEO activities. Hence, the title of this post, 100 posts in 4 months, did I accomplish anything? There have been people out there blogging for years and they have 1,000′s of posts, I realize that, what I am pondering, am I on the right track, am I doing the right things ?  From what I have read, been told, I am doing the right thing, I am getting original new content up on my site and I am doing it daily, supposedly this is what the search engines like and from that perspective, I should be okay.

4. What about the perspective of the real people who will eventually come to the site, what will they think? Making the search engines happy is of no value if the traffic and potential  customers they bring don’t like what they see. Its ironic we have to serve two masters, one, the search engines, without them we have no business, and the second, the real reason we are here, our customers. The conflict, at least the one I feel conflicted with is this, what makes the search engines happy, is not necessarily what will make my potential future customers happy.

Do I want to do another 100 posts in the next 100 days?  The question I find myself asking  is this, is that the best use of my time?, should I continue doing what I am doing, or do I switch over and spend that hour each day  on some other task that will help me build my Internet Home Business, faster and better? If you have any thoughts, let me know. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

5 Article Marketing Tips, True or False for Owners of an Internet Home Business

April 3rd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

Traffic drives our world, if you have an Internet Home Business web site, you need traffic above anything else, without it, we wither and die on the Internet vine. I have a list of 5 claims that the Article Marketing/ submission Industry likes to trot out as reasons that we should create articles, buy articles, to feed their industry. Their target is us, people who have an Internet Home Business, or two or three, and are desperate for traffic. Here they are, with my comments.

1. Articles create visibility for your web site. True or false?  95% False.  I have thousands and thousands of articles out there on the web, all supposedly pointing back to my Internet Home Business web site, the result, very disappointing. My results are not any different than the other thousands and thousands of owners who thought that this would be a way to get our names and our brands out there on the Internet. I said 95% False, yes , there are some instances when you may get fortunate, get picked up by some publication and get some notice, traffic, but for the time and money you invest in article marketing, the returns are extremely limited.

2. Article marketing creates back links to your site. True or False?  80% False. Same issue, thousands and thousands of articles out there, very few back links back to my site, compared to the amount of time and work to get the articles out there. The people who benefit, are the people who are in the article marketing industry, not the Internet Home Business owners who finance them. Yes, I have SOME back links, but is it the amount that I was PROMISED back from the AM Industry?, no definitely  not.

3. By article marketing, you business becomes an authority site. True or False? 100 % False. This is just hogwash, are we suppose to believe that just because some one writes a bunch of articles, they will some how become an authority and their site will now be sought out? This is just insulting to any one with a half of a brain. If no other reason, the sheer number of people on the Internet makes this claim just ridiculous.

4. Directory Listings stay for ever. True or False ? 100% True, but who cares. Yes, when your article gets listed on a directory, unless that directory  goes out of business, your article will stay there, forever, but so what. Unless some one some how finds it, it does you no good what so ever. Your article, along with the millions and millions of other articles, lays there in total obscurity, never to be seen by human eyes again. That is the fate of 99.999999% of all articles ever written.

5. Links in the author box creates back links to your Internet Home Business web site. True or False 100% True, BUT, BUT, BUT. Yes, your link back to your  web site in your Authors box CAN become a live link, if your article gets published, picked up by some one or some how becomes LIVE, if not, it just sites there, dead, for the rest of eternity.

Not only does some one have to make your link ” live “, once that happens, some one actually has to click on your link, to get back to your web site. The whole article marketing process is futile unless that link in your author box gets clicked on.

Fast Summary.  the Article Marketing/Submissions Industry is huge, because the need by us, the Internet Home Business ” Industry “, desperately needs traffic to survive, hence the hugeness of the AM Industry to address our needs. The bottom line is this, AM once was effective, about 5 years ago, since then, it has slowly gone done in effectiveness, mainly because of the advent of the Industry, killing an effective form of marketing for small Internet Home Business owners, like you and me.

More on this tomorrow, have a great day.

Thinking of Starting an Internet Home Business ?

April 2nd, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

Below is a sample of what I have been saying on this blog for the last several weeks. This ad is targeting new people, as well as people who still have not caught on to what is real out there and what is not. First , Free Internet Business, is not anything special, ALL AM programs are free, so this offer is nothing  special.  The next line, $ 125.00 in 24 hours, guarantee, is  blatant lie, only a scammer with zero morals would make a claim like that. If it was true, why would n’ t the owner of this claim just set up hundreds, or thousands of these so called Affiliate Marketing programs for himself and become an millionaire?

But wait, there is more, he IS a millionaire, and he is willing to tell us how he turned a simple idea into over a million dollar a year business. Nice guy !!

FREE Program!! $125 In 24 Hours Guaranteed! Amazing FREE Affiliate Program-Make Money Online $125 In 24 Hours Guaranteed! Make Money Fast Online. FREE Affiliate Program Is Rated #1 For 2009. Enjoy The Benefits Of Working From Home. Earn $4000 Plus Per Month. No Experience Needed. No Selling Required. FREE Internet Marketing course. Find out how I turned a simple idea into over a million dollar a year business using Online Marketing. Internet Marketing Center – Learn How to Make Money Online Internet Marketing – Get your free internet business strategies and internet marketing tips to get your profits soaring. Internet Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Online Marketing

Had to get below the ad !. The above ad, and millions like it are out to get you, a new person to the Internet, a person thinking of starting an Internet Home Business. thinking that you can get a Free Internet Business, they want you to either, buy what they are selling now, or at least give them something valuable  so they can use it to keep hammering at you in the future. What they want, besides you money, is your email address. All of these ads have something in common, besides being scams, that all offer something free, in this case, free marketing tips, free internet business strategies, they want t you to sign up for the freebies so they can fill your mail box with more ads.

The problem with that is this, all you are going to be getting is just more of the same, ads that tell you that you can get a Free Internet Business, do no work, with no experience, make thousands of dollars a month, over night. That is just not going to happen. You are going to spend your money, get these scam sites set up, and then you are going to waste the most precious commodity you have, your time, waiting for the thousands of dollars to start rolling in, the money never rolls in, never.

Quickly, here is the deal with the AM people, they have nothing to lose in all of this, they have a product to sell, a product that costs them pennies to move, all they need is you to spend your time, money and resources to set up a site to sell their product on, and already they are a winner. If every new Internet Home Business owner only sells one product per scam business site, they  make millions. they make millions because of the incredible size of the market, new Internet Home Businesses opening up by the second, and the growth of the market itself.

I call them scam business sites for a reason. The people who are promoting them are scamming who ever will listen to them that what they are offering is a Free Internet Business, when in fact, it is an empty shell, with no traffic and zero chance of their ever being traffic. With out the traffic, or a realistic expectation of traffic, there will never be any business. People who comment on my posts about my attacks on AM programs miss a key point in all of my posts, take this one for example, ” thinking of STARTING an Internet Home Business ? “  What I am cautioning  people about is starting a new business to set up an AM program on the site, and then thinking you have actually set up a real bona fide business, when in fact all you have is a shell, a shell no one will ever see.

There is a role for AM, my point is, that role is not for new people who are just starting out, and especially not for a site that will have nothing on it but AM products.  More tomorrow, have a great day.

Is there Such a thing as a Free Internet Buisness ?

March 31st, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

You are looking at starting an Internet Home Business, you see the ads all over the place, Free Internet Business, start today, no money, no experience, quit your day job, click here. First and foremost, if the Internet Home Business they are totting is really free, you best be on guard. There is a difference between an Affiliate Marketing opportunity, and a real business. I know, the AM people really dislike my definition of a real Internet Home Business and the version they trot out. What I am talking about when I see the reference to a Free Internet Business is a business that is self contained and you as the owner control the business.

Quickly, an AM Internet Home Business is not a business as far as I am concerned. You are basically a middle man, who does all of the work, and then hopes someone will buy the products or services you are promoting. Yes, my site has AM programs on it, and no, I am not being a hypocritical, here is why. My issue with AM programs is how they are sold and marketed to people. The hype, the exaggerated claims, the out right fabrications of profit potentials, the lack  of proper disclosure, the total absence of an explanation of where the traffic is going to come from, to name just a few issues.

When you say that your are offering  a Free Internet Business, you have an obligation to provide something that resembles that. I am tying AM with the claims  out there of these programs are  resembling a Free  Internet Business, that is my beef. Is there a place for new people to become AM when they are starting out new on the Internet?, no. If all you have on your site is someone else s products and services, which is what being an Affiliate Marketer is, then I believe you are headed for a world of grief.

I have said this before, repeatedly, starting out with nothing on your Internet Home Business site but other peoples products, is going to be the kiss of death for you. What you need to do is this, don’t believe me, and certainly do not believe the Am owners, they have a huge vested interest in getting you on board, talk to the millions of people out there who have been done the path you have gone, ask them where they are now.

From personal experience, I have a number of sites that I  have bought over the last year, all in some way were involved in AM, some of them offering Free Internet Home Business opportunities, and my results have been basically zero. Despite the claims from the previous owners of revenue , the revenue has been absolutely zero. During the course of buying these sites, I have been talking to hundreds of people who have been on the other side of the equation, the poor souls who bought into the hype of AM and spent the time to get set up, and then waited, and waited, and then waited even more, in vain, for the money to start rolling in, as promised.

They are still waiting. The concept of AM is flawed from the get go, the crucial ingredient that we all need, owners of an Internet Home Business is that elusive traffic. I would like for someone, especially supporters of AM, to show me one program that has a legitimate source of traffic, enough traffic to make the program viable and sustainable for the people opening up sites exclusively to sell some one else s product.

If nothing else, I hope you take more time and care if and when you look at these programs. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.

How To Properly Pick a Niche Market for Your Internet Home Business

March 30th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Internet Home Business

The concept of picking a Niche Market, NM, for your Internet Home Business is not flawed, just the way you do it maybe. First and foremost, you need to realize that picking a business is a very personal matter. Your first Internet Home Business should be a business that you spend time and consideration on, not something that you pick off the shelf like a can of soup at the supermarket. I am talking about the systems out there that tell you they basically have a NM business in a box, all of the work is done, all you have to do is fork over some money and they give you a ready made NM business.

Quickly, their pitch is this, they have a system, no one else has, their system is that they have picked a secret NM that no one knows about, and if you buy their system/package, you will have  a NM business already set up, site, name, running on the Internet, all you have to do is wait for the money to roll in. The pitch is based on the premise that because no one else seems to know about this NM, you will be the only person trying to sell in it and because you are in a very low competitive market, you win.

This concept is very flawed. First and foremost, the reality is that these people are selling thousands of these so called NM web sites, even if they had discovered some secret NM, after they are finished selling thousands of these sites in a box, you are no longer in a secret low competitive market. There has to be a connect between you, and your new Internet Home business, after all, after  you pay your money, who is going to run this new business of yours? Yes I know, these sites are always suppose to be auto pilot  sites, once they are set up, you never  have to touch them, except take the money to the bank.

This is just another major flaw in their pitch. The concept of set and leave the business is just too bizarre to be even taken seriously. This is just not the story with the NM people, this idea that you can buy, for a fee, an Internet Home Business of any kind that will just sit there, without you working on it, and just make money, is just false, misleading and scammy to  the 100th degree. This variation on the set it and leave idea is all over the Internet, it is like a fungus, its all over the place, especially in the low lying areas, like swamps and bogs. My opinion of these people is very low, how could you tell!

The idea that there are businesses that you could buy, for under a $ 100.00, that you could put on ” auto pilot ” a term they like to use, and then just collect the money is absurd. The acid test in my mind is this, if it works like they say it does, why don’t they just open up thousands of them for themselves, and retire to the South Pacific? Funny thing, when ever I ask them this question, I never get an answer, ever.

Back on point. When to properly pick a NM? Pick your Internet Home Business FIRST, then work on the details of whether your over all business is viable, as part of an overall assessment. Part of your over all assessment is deciding what you want  your business to do for you and how fast you need it to get there. The whole idea behind getting into a NM is that you supposedly have a better chance to get market share when there are less competitors in that market place. None of that matters if you have decided that you are in a market that you want to be in and that you are prepared to succeed, over the long haul.

The best advice I can give you is this, the businesses that succeed, are the ones that are run by people who are doing what they want to do, hopefully what they like to do, and they are prepared to put in the time, effort and resources  to build their business properly. There are no short cuts, especially on the Internet. Have a great day, see you tomorrow.
