Last week I explained to you the importance of organizing your internet home business tasks by creating a list and following it.Today I want to elaborate on this topic and talk about organizing your internet home business office.
As a home business owner, you have 2 types of offices.
One office is your home office, the room you sit in and work from. This room is where your computer is, where your phone is, where you keep all your paper work, your lists, if write them down on a paper and everything else you need for your internet business.
Since you are working from home it is very hard to put a barrier and say "this is where my home ends and my job starts", but your home office is your job as long as you are working online and you need to treat it the same.
Keep your desk organized, keep the paper work in one place, you "to do" list in front of you, a schedule near you, keep you desk tidy and clean, with everything in reach.
The second office I am referring to is your computer. Your computer or PC or laptop is your office. Like most people you store everything there, from your emails to your dentist appointment.
It is very easy to get lost in all the information you have on your computer, but it is also easy to organize it. Your computer can create folders with one click, you can name it what ever you like and save everything.
Start with organizing your emails, label them and then save them to different folders on your computer, then organize your favorites in your browser.
Every letter you receive from affiliate programs, bills, ebooks, you need to save for future reference.
The folder system is very easy to use, you start with a main folder, then create sub folders in it etc. each folder is for different program and different features for this program.
After you finished organizing your home office all you have to do is keep it in order, and backup your hard drive, you don't want to lose all this valuable information because of one little mistake.
Organizing your internet home business office will help you clear your mind and create a peaceful and more productive working environment.
