Forum Marketing Secrets - How I Use Forums to Fire Targeted Traffic to My Websites!

I spend a specific amount of time on forums every week. Personally, I set aside up to 30 minutes each day. That equals to 3 and a half hours of forum time every week. I go to forums not just to get information, but also with a specific purpose - to get traffic. I make no bones about it because I'm in business to make money.

When I post on a related forum to my business, I always make sure my signature file contains a link to one of my squeeze pages or sales pages. Because most forums don't allow affiliate links, I tend to promote my own products. I prefer sending visitors to a squeeze page to build a list.

This may seem blatantly obvious, but many people don't even create signatures to promote their websites. They go to forums for the social interaction, and while that is fine, everything you do in business needs to be geared towards growing your business if you want to succeed.

I personally get 20-30 up to a few dozen visitors per day from my forum postings. It's totally free and costs nothing but my time. The only downside to this method is your posts don't have much residual effect - they will lose popularity after a while so you need to keep posting to get that traffic.

Tip: be a little controversial at times as that will help your topics to generate more buzz, and ultimate more traffic to your websites. Always make your posts loaded with information and you'll do great with forum marketing.
