Forums have more than just one benefit. Many internet marketers use forums all the time but they use them only for one reason - forum marketing. They join a forum, add their signature to it, add some posts to gain a backlink an they are done. This is the good scenario. The worse one is they use robots and scripts to post for them.

But you can also use forums to learn and help others. They forums are packed with useful information which you can use.

Use your own knowledge to contribute to the discussion and build your reputation as an expert, use your knowledge to help others and answer their questions.

Use other people knowledge and experience to learn more new things, and also to find ideas for your internet home business.

Whenever you feel blocked, for any reason, go to one of your favorite forums and start reading the posts. Very soon you will find something, if it's a new information someone just posted or if it's a question someone just asked.

Add your point of view to the discussion, and answer the question if you can. Then write a blog post about it, or write a new article to submit to article directories, or do both.

A forum can help you find the next topic you need to write a blog post, an article or even a short report to give for free to your readers.

Forum Marketing Secrets - How I Use Forums to Fire Targeted Traffic to My Websites!

I spend a specific amount of time on forums every week. Personally, I set aside up to 30 minutes each day. That equals to 3 and a half hours of forum time every week. I go to forums not just to get information, but also with a specific purpose - to get traffic. I make no bones about it because I'm in business to make money.

When I post on a related forum to my business, I always make sure my signature file contains a link to one of my squeeze pages or sales pages. Because most forums don't allow affiliate links, I tend to promote my own products. I prefer sending visitors to a squeeze page to build a list.

This may seem blatantly obvious, but many people don't even create signatures to promote their websites. They go to forums for the social interaction, and while that is fine, everything you do in business needs to be geared towards growing your business if you want to succeed.

I personally get 20-30 up to a few dozen visitors per day from my forum postings. It's totally free and costs nothing but my time. The only downside to this method is your posts don't have much residual effect - they will lose popularity after a while so you need to keep posting to get that traffic.

Tip: be a little controversial at times as that will help your topics to generate more buzz, and ultimate more traffic to your websites. Always make your posts loaded with information and you'll do great with forum marketing.

Forum Marketing Can be Good For You

One of the internet marketing methods I love the most is forum marketing

I admit, at first I was a member of only one forum where I could find help and learn how to promote my internet home business. Then I learned about forum marketing and I started searching for more forums to go to with one thought in mind, market my home business with these forums.

The problem was I got hooked. I don't go to forums to market my business anymore, I go to forums to help other people, to learn new stuff and just for the satisfaction and for a good discussion on internet marketing.

True by participating in these forums I get to promote my internet home business, but promoting is not the reason I am there.

When you visit a forum you find different people there, men and women, young and old, newbies and oldies. All from different niches, but all there for one reason, they want to learn internet marketing.

Sometimes the learning is just by reading other people questions. One person can ask a question you never thought about, and this question will open a new discussion and give you the answers.

Learning something new everyday is the way to build a business, it is also a good feeling.
