What you have to do is get people to go to the website and hope they will buy the product. You can make anywhere from 10 to 50% of the selling price. So the question is how do you get people to go to someone else's web site?

First, if you have your own blog or website you can presell the product on your site and send prospects to the product site. Blogs are easy to set up and require no programming knowledge. Google them to find out how. You can get free templates and set up your own website with out any experience.

The other thing to do is use what is called pay per click. You advertise on Google or Yahoo and when someone clicks on your ad they are directed to your affiliate site. Pay per click is not free.

So my suggestion is to just get started. Create a blog or website and try to sell something, anything. A website requires that you pay for hosting but you can get free hosting for blogs. I set up my first website and then worked to get people to visit it. And if your blog makes money you are all set. If not, try with another product or work to get more traffic.
