This great article about auto responders was written by Stone Evans the Home Biz Guy, explaining how using an appropriate auto responder can help you put your business on autopilot.
Today I'd like to share with you the strategy I used when I first got online many years ago to generate automated income from home. This strategy still works today. You can use it to sell your own products or you can use it to sell other people's products as an affiliate or partner. It can work in practically any niche market.
The theory is simple. Build a list of people who have given you permission to email them about a particular topic and then send relevant information and special offers to those people promoting products and services that you are selling. This is a very easy way to make money.
The first thing you need to do this is a tool called an autoresponder. An autoresponder is simply a tool that collects subscribers for you and gives you the ability to email those people in mass. For example, with an autoresponder you can type an email message saying anything you want, load it into a field that looks just like the text area you type any normal email into, click Send, and your message will be delivered to all your subscribers instantly addressing each one on a first name basis. This could be just 10 people or it could be thousands, even millions.
When you use an autoresponder to send a message promoting a product you are selling to a targeted group of subscribers, you have a very good chance of making sales if what you are offering is something that your subscriber database is interested in.
From my point of view, a lot of the information and systems available online which try to help people make money are over-complicated and often mis-guided. The same simple formula for making money online that worked for me (someone with no previous experience) almost 10 years ago is still working today and it's very, very simple to apply. In fact, I'll walk you through the steps I use (and so do many, many others) to pull in automatic profits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year like clockwork.
The first thing you need is an autoresponder. You don't even need your own website for this. There are many good autoresponders on the market. One that I use is called GetResponse which you can take a look at: http://www.FreeGetResponse.com . This is the autoresponder
As you'll see if you subscribe at the site above, my free mini-course will be delivered to you automatically by email as if it's written to you personally. This takes no effort from me (other than writing the messages in the first place) to deliver this mini-course to you and thousands of other valued subscribers using an autoresponder.
Another autoresponder I use is called AutoResponse Plus. You can check it out at: http://www.AutoResponse-Plus.com . The difference between GetResponse and AutoResponse Plus is that GetResponse does not require you to have hosting. It's hosted for you. AutoResponse Plus requires you to have your own hosting account where the company will install the software for you directly. Also, when it comes to building a mailing list, GetResponse provides an in-house service to build your mailing list for you called Get Subscribers which you can see at: http://www.GetSubscribers.com . If you are using AutoResponse Plus, you would need to use a third-party service such as List Builder Pro to build your mailing list: http://www.ProListBuilder.com
This brings me to the next step of the process of making money on autopilot with an autoresponder. You need subscribers. The fastest way to build a permission-based list of subscribers of people who are interested in what you have to offer is called co-registration. That's what the Get Subscribers and List Builder Pro services provide. All the details about how these work can be found at: http://www.GetSubscribers.com and http://www.ProListBuilder.com respectively.
Once you know about these services, the steps to make money online are really very simple.
2. List Builder Pro: http://www.ProListBuilder.com (works with AutoResponse Plus and most other autoresponder in the market, not GetResponse though)
Both of these service can be setup to add subscribers to your autoresponder automatically without you needing to lift a finger. Just go through the guided setup process when placing your order and they will take care of the rest.
Step 3) Make an offer.
Send valuable information and special offers to your subscribers on a regular basis. This is a simple process for making money on autopilot that has never failed me.
In the beginning, I didn't have a lot of money to invest in advertising. That was a good thing. It forced my mind to think about and discover what technique had the lowest risk associated with it. You see, I figured that if I purchased 500 co-registration subscribers, all of these people were mine to contact as often as I wanted until they either bought something from me or unsubscribed. So in the case of Get Subscribers, today I need to pay $189.95 to get 500 guaranteed subscribers. That's 500 people who have given me permission to email them as often as I want. Do you see how powerful this is?
In my niche market, I promote home business products, services and opportunities as an affiliate which all pay very generous commissions. If I email my list of 500 people a few times and just get 5 (1%) of them to sign up for one of the products or programs I promote, I've already made a profit. But the real beauty of this type of advertising is that even after I've made a profit on my initial investment, I still have my complete list of subscribers (minus the few that have unsubscribed) to continue emailing, building a relationship with and promoting different products to. If I'm even the slightest bit creative and consistent with sending offers to my list, I can make a small fortune with this single asset.
What I've described above is EXACTLY how I started making money online many years ago and how I still earn a healthy percentage of my money today.
Maybe you're thinking that setting up an autoresponder and building a list is easy, but you don't know what to email to your list to make money. If that's the case, I invite you to consider that nearly every affiliate program or business opportunity you can join provides pre-written email marketing letters that you can simply copy and send to your list. In most cases, these letters are proven sellers which is why the affiliate programs and business opportunities provide them to you. They have tested them and experienced positive results already.
That said, in my own experience, I usually find that I can get improved results with letters I write myself to my list when I am sincere and offer my own personality, point of view and value to an offer I am promoting.
But the bottom line here is that making money online can be very simple. You don't even need to have your own website, you don't need to attend any seminar or buy any expensive marketing courses, or pay for one-on-one personal coaching, etc. You just need to look around and watch what other people (the big dogs) are doing to make their money. In most cases, they are simply building list and emailing that list special offers and announcements to promote products that generate revenue for them. Instead of being on the receiving end of this one-way marketing barrage, put yourself on the delivering end of the emails and receiving end of the commission checks and bank deposits that arrive when you setup your own autopilot online marketing system.
All you need is an autoresponder, subscribers and an offer.
What are you waiting for? You can do it!

1. Participate in chat rooms related to the product you're reselling. Start a conversation with a person without trying to sell to them. Later on, while you are chatting, mention the product you're reselling.
2. Create a free ebook with the advertisement and link of your affiliate web site. The subject of the free ebook should draw your target audience to down- load it. Also submit it to some ebook directories.
3. Start your own affiliate program directory. Join a large number of affiliate programs and list them all in a directory format on your web site. Then just advertise your free affiliate program directory.
4. Write your own affiliate program ads. If all the other affiliates use the same ads you do, that does not give you an edge over your competition. Use a different ad to give yourself an advantage over all the other affiliates.
5. Use a personal endorsement ad. Only use one if you've actually bought the product or service for the affiliate program. Tell people what kind of benefits and results you've received using the product.
6. Advertise the product you're reselling in your signature file. Use an attention getting headline and a good reason for them to visit your affiliate site. Make sure your sig file doesn't go over 5 lines.
7. Join a web ring. It should attract the same type of people that would be interested in buying the product you're reselling. You could also trade links on your own with other related web sites.
8. Participate on web discussion boards. Post your comments, answer other people's questions, and ask your own questions. Include your affiliate text link under each message you post.
9. Create a free ezine. Use your ezine to advertise the affiliate programs you've joined. Submit your ezine to online ezine directories and promote it on your web site.
10. Start a private web site. Use it as a free bonus if people buy the product you resell. You could also allow people to join for free and you could advertise the affiliate program you've joined.

You finally reached your decision, you want to start a business online, to become a successful internet marketer, but as you already noticed the internet is full of home based internet opportunities, and all of them are promising you full of free stuff and overnight success and lots and lots of money.
You are probably asking yourself is it legit, is this opportunity for real or is it a scam, a money eating monster.
So how can you tell if you found the key to your own goldmine?
You have to research once you think you found the right program look it up, find out what people are saying a bout it, to sign up for nothing until you are really sure you can see results with the program.
Look is up in the search engines, you will find articles blogs, forum threads, read them. Pay attention to what people are saying. Each program has it advantage and disadvantage, but if every thing you can find a bout a program is bad reviews, than drop it, it is probably old or even worse a scam.
Look what the program is offering you, don't fall for the appealing sales letters, that's why they are sale letters, they meant to sale. See what they are offering, and how much will it cost you.
If they are offering you an overnight success, it's a scam, if it was real we all should be millionaires by now.
If it offers a ton of money, if you only buy a book or software, it might be a scam.
Testimonials, some will tell you to ignore them, they are made to sell, but are they real? look up the people, see if they are real, check out their websites, real people will give fresh content in the internet and their name will pop out in many different websites, and you will even have a way to contact them, if they are real they will even come back to you with an answer.
A good business opportunity is the one that promise you all the help on the way to become successful, than it is up to you if you use it and how to use, because once you use it, and do it right, slowly, step by step, you will start to profit, and become successful.
It take time to become successful, it needs your time and money, once you understand this is will be much easier for you to find your right niche and place, and develop a very successful internet business.

I love pay-per-click marketing! There are few forms of online advertising that offer such complete control over where you spend your advertising dollars.
But despite the ability to control Google Adwords and Yahoo! Search Marketing gives you over your ads -- how much you spend on them, where and when they appear, etc. -- I'm constantly meeting savvy Internet marketers who are wasting tons of unnecessary money on their pay-per-click campaigns because they are either...
a) Making "okay" money from their campaigns and too lazy to do the work to make them really successful
-- or --
b) They just don't know any better!
No matter how you're doing with YOUR pay-per-click efforts, here are 4 tips that you can start applying today to fine-tune your campaigns and boost your ROI.
Tip #1: Keywords... keywords... keywords!
Even if your business targets an extremely narrow niche market, your campaign should begin with at least 100 keywords.
I have yet to come across a niche market for which we couldn't find that many keywords for the initial round of testing. In fact, the majority of businesses I deal with start in the range of 500-1000 keywords!
If it sounds like a huge challenge to come up with that many keywords, don't worry.
With tools like Wordtracker and Google's Keyword Evaluator, you don't have to come up with the keywords on your own. All you have to do is identify a core list of keywords and then let technology do the work for you.
Now, is every single one of those keywords going to make you money? Nope! Some will bomb horribly.
But I'll talk about how you deal with that in a second...
Tip #2: Never stop testing new ads
When you first start your pay-per-click campaigns, you should be writing at least five different ads for each keyword group.
Note: a "keyword group" is a cluster of closely related keywords that say exactly the same thing, in slightly different ways.
For example, a keyword group for a site promoting a bed and breakfast in El Paso, Texas could include:
El Paso bed and breakfast
El Paso bed and breakfasts
Bed and breakfast El Paso
Bed and breakfasts El Paso Texas
El Paso BandB
BandBs El Paso
B and Bs El Paso
B and B El Paso Texas
B and Bs El Paso Texas
El Paso bed and breakfasts
B and B El Paso
El Paso Texas bed and breakfast
Bed and breakfast El Paso Texas
... and so on.
(As you can see, the variations between each keyword phrase are very slight.)
Once you've written your five plus ads for your keyword group, run them all at the same time. Keep them going until you get enough impressions to determine which one is the winner -- and then roll out the winning ad across the entire group.
Congratulations... you now have a winning ad!
But don't stop now... continue to work on your ads and try to come up with one that will beat your current front runner. If you beat your winning ad, roll-out the new ad across your keyword group and then try and beat that ad.
Then keep on repeating this testing cycle indefinitely, to ensure you're always running the best possible ad you can.
Tip #3: Design targeted landing pages for each keyword group
Nothing will turn a visitor into a customer faster than a message that tells them exactly what they want to hear. So, if I have multiple keyword groups that target different themes, each ad should be driving visitors to a landing page with salescopy that reflects the theme of a single keyword group.
For example, if different themes an El Paso bed and breakfast owner could try targeting might be:
"family friendly bed and breakfast el Paso" or "el Paso couples bed and breakfast"
The first ad could lead to a landing page that emphasized all of the great family activities available in and around the bed and breakfast, while the second one could talk about how great the same bed and breakfast is as a romantic getaway.
By testing out different themes like this, you can see which theme gets the most sales and focus more of your PPC dollars there!
Tips #4: Detailed tracking
If you want to get the most bang for every PPC buck you spend, then simply tracking the overall effectiveness of your campaigns won't do. You need to track the effectiveness of every individual keyword if you want to crank every cent out of your PPC efforts!
Like I said in Step #1, you will be starting your campaign with hundreds of keywords. But not all of those keywords will be profitable. It's your job to weed out the unprofitable ones right away.
There are four different keyword performance scenarios you will encounter:
Keywords that aren't driving any traffic
After you've tested a few different ads to confirm these keywords are ineffective, get rid of them. They're useless. Even though they're not costing you any money, they are cluttering up your campaign.
Keywords that are driving traffic -- but no sales
This is where a lot of your wasted PPC dollars go! If you find this happening to you, look at your ad and make sure your landing page relates back to the keyword.
Does the landing page meet the expectation your ad creates? If yes, then get rid of the keyword. It's only costing you money.
Keywords that are driving traffic and opt-ins -- but no immediate sales
If you are a savvy marketer, chances are you have a good autoresponder sequence that builds a relationship with your subscribers and eventually converts them to sales.
If this is the case, I would keep these keywords. The ROI is not immediate, but don't worry -- it will come!
In fact, if you are trying to sell a higher-ticket product through PPC without much success, your entire marketing campaign may be more effective if it's based around driving leads to an opt-in form or squeeze page and then working up to the sale as you establish a relationship with your susbscribers.
Keywords that are driving traffic and sales
Obviously these are the keywords we want to keep... but status quo is not enough!
You need to track the conversion of each individual keyword. Some will convert higher than others, which will ultimately dictate how much you can bid on those keyword and still remain profitable.
In other words, if I have a top performing keyword and I am not ranking in the top 3-4 positions, I may want to spend more to increase the position, my clickthrough ratio, and sales.
So there it is! Four strategies you can apply today. If you are already doing all of these, great!
However, if you are missing just one, there is a very good chance you are missing out on sales. And you could end up throwing good money after bad!
If you are just getting started with pay-per-click advertising, you can get far more detailed training in my exclusive Search Marketing Lab, which I will let you try for the next 30 days for only $2.95!
Happy "pay-per-clicking!"

by Diana Barnum http://movingaheadcommunications.com/ To help increase your sales, take a look at your copywriting and see if you can make improvements. Often small improvements can result in a much better conversion rate.
In short, as this quote from successful businessman David Ogilvy says, “If you're trying to persuade people to do something, or buy something, it seems to me you should use their language, the language in which they think.”
So go over these tips and see where you can use better language: revise, tweak, edit and otherwise improve your sales efforts.
1. Evaluate your copy. Evaluate repeatedly, over again, until you have it nicely polished, and ready to print. Ask a business contact to read it while in exchange, you read his or her copy.
2. Use shorter words for longer ones.
3. Insert facts, quotes and statistics where possible. These often have more impact than information.
4. Steer clear of witty or obscure phrasing. You want the reader to have clarity of understanding what you mean, rather than to keep them guessing. Say what you have to say in the simplest or most direct of terms. Be concise and to the point.
5. Use straightforward paragraphs and short sentences. Take care to state facts and real figures. Choose not to talk in percentages, but rather state real sums of money.
6. Focus on the advantages and benefits your client will receive from their purchase.
7. When copywriting, do not be overly concerned about the number of words you use while writing. Studies have shown that longer copy sells more products than short copy. Start with short copy, if you like, then add more pages, more depth to your communications.
8. When writing copy, make your words talk with the ease of presenting one-on-one; speak to the customer in their language. In other words, when you are sitting there trying to figure out what to say, just imagine you are sitting there talking to a trusted family member or friend about the product, this should put you right at ease.
9. Copy writing is much easier if you can visualize your audience and then just write to them.
10. Good copy has a sense of quality that is childlike because of its simplicity. Write so anyone can understand your copy and it will come across so much clearer.
11. Read and study the masterpieces of writing by famous advertising authors whose work has paved the path for you and other copywriters.
12. Test everything that comes to mind; write it out if it comes to in a flash or in a simple wave of clarity. Use the positive tested phrases in your copywriting.
13. Write and write, then re-write. Practice does make perfect.
14. Be open to refreshing concepts and ease them into your copywriting while not upsetting the flow of writing.
15. Employ the use of bullets or check lists while copywriting, do not be afraid to use plenty of bullets or check lists.
16. Remember use of FREE, NEW, SECRET, GUARANTEE, PROFIT and YOU are all eye catchers. Heat up your copy with words that reach and grab the reader's attention.
17. You have to place a call to action in your copy to motivate the customer to act, if the customer is not drawn to act on your call, sales may be lost.
18. Gather up some testimonials for use in copywriting. Studies have proven that testimonials grab more reader attention than any other factors combined. Testimonials set the stage for credibility.
19. Always remember in copywriting that you've got almost as much pull with the ending P.S. message for sales attraction as you do with coming up with a killer headline. Your P.S. copy should sum everything up nicely so readers are immediately drawn to answering your call for action.
20. Know your product.
“Good copy can't be written with tongue in cheek, written just for a living. You've got to believe in the product,” David Ogilvy.
So give your copy a good inspection and make improvements where you can. Then put your best sales copy foot forward and get back out there and sell!

Product Review:
"Blogging For Dollars" By Derek Gehl and The Internet Marketing Center
While going through Derek Gehl's new "Blogging For Dollars" system, I was amazed just how powerful blogs really are. The amount of traffic you can drive to your website with a blog is impressive!
If you don't have a blog yet, NOW is definitely the time to start one!
And if you want to turn that blog into a huge success, Derek and his team have invested over $79,583.28 in developing and testing his new system, "Blogging For Dollars," and...
... Their test results were truly shocking!
Some of Derek's clients and members of his team were scooping up handfuls of #1 rankingsin the search engines -- for HIGHLY competitive terms -- without hiring an expensive SEO specialist.
And I'm positive that anyone can secure a top 10 position in the search engines using the advanced blogging techniques explained in this system!
Plus, by having a blog, you can drive swarms of traffic to your website, explode your sales and profits...
... OR add new streams of revenue to your existing business!
But, what I like most about this system is that it's for both advanced users and it's totally newbie friendly at the same time.
In fact, "Blogging For Dollars" lays out a simple plan for starting your very FIRST online business using blogs, and teaches you how to set up your FIRST blog in 45 seconds... 5 minutes if you're slow!
Here's a tiny sample of what you'll learn:
How to use blogs to dramatically increase your website traffic -- and add 1,000's of EXTRA dollars to your bottom line!
How to rank #1 in Google, Yahoo!, and MSN -- for the keywords MOST searched by your target audience!
How Derek's team pushed a webpage to a #2 ranking in Google for a highly competitive keyphrase -- with less than 60 minutes' effort! (And why we saw traffic and sales results in less than 14 days!)
Which 3 critical steps you MUST follow to catapult your website to the TOP of the search engine rankings -- for any keyword you choose!
How to Attract 400% more repeat traffic than your static webpage! Since blogs take just seconds to update (from ANYWHERE in the world), it's easy to draw visitors back again and again with fresh news and postings!
... And MUCH more!
And since blogging is the biggest trend to hit the Internet in the last 10 years, there's more opportunity to profit from it right now than there ever will be. My prediction is we won't see another chance like this for at least another 10 years... Which means the time to act is now!

3. Make a complete list of your product's benefits and features. Begin your ad with the most important benefit either in your headline or first sentence.
4. Make your ad benefits as specific as possible. Include exact numbers, percentages, times, colors, smells, sounds, descriptive adjectives, etc.
5. List all the ways your product is different from your competition's. Include all the differences in your ad copy that are better than their product.
6. Use graphics, pictures and drawings of people actually using your product to solve their problem. Include a picture that also shows the results.
7. Make a list of your target audience. Write down what reasons would attract them to purchase your product. Include those reasons in your ad copy.
8. Include any proven facts in your ad copy. They could be customer surveys, scientific tests, product reviews, etc.
9. Tell your audience what kind of support they'll get after they buy. It could be free consulting, tech support, free servicing, etc.
10. Ask people at the end of your copy why they decided not to buy. This will give you new ideas on how to produce a more profitable ad copy.

Would you like to make money online, but don't know where to begin? Here's 3 easy steps that really work: http://www.Learn2Earn2.com/pips.html -------------------------------------------------------
Whatever the product or service you offer on your website; there are probably hundreds of thousands or millions other websites which a potential online customer can go to. It takes a lot of hard work to get the visitors to your website in the first instance; now that some prospects have visited your website, you have a very high chance of converting them into your online customers. It is very important for you not to lose them to your competitor.
How can you retain your leads and prospects, and ensure that they buy from you and not from your competition?
· A friendly, professional and easy-to-navigate website is a necessity. You must ensure that you have a friendly website; and make it easy for your customers to navigate. Have you ever visited a website which is simply confusing? You do not know what is being sold, or there are so many things on offer on that website and it is all very confusing? Well, you must avoid having such a website because it will make you lose your online customers. A customer-friendly and clearly laid-out website is a definite way of retaining your online customers. The prospect may really want to buy from you, but if your website is not easy to navigate and takes a lot of time for the prospect to find what they want; they will leave. Time is of essence for online customers. Have a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ on your website to explain more about your website or the product / service that you offer.
· Your website must be full of BENEFITS. This is another necessity if you want to convert your prospects into online customers. Everyone appreciates something for free. Offer free tips, information, ‘stuff’ or anything else related to what your website offers. It helps to make a your website a ‘one-stop-shop’ where the prospects or online customer can get more information about the topic related to your products and services – so make sure you have a lot of free information, tips and articles on your website. It is important to have some valuable benefits which your online customers would really appreciate getting if they bought from you. Be creative and make sure that you have some valuable free offers to your online customers.
· Easy, free and speedy communication. Your website is your ‘shop’ that operates 24/7. You will need to make it easy for your prospects and online customers to contact you. You must have many contact alternatives on your website; namely email address, toll free fax or telephone number – whatever you see suitable for you and your business. Allow prospects or online customers to contact you by email, and it helps to hyper link your email address so that they do not have to type it in. You must check your emails on a regular basis and respond to any queries as soon as you can.
· Keep in touch. This ties in with the above aspect, but focuses more on proactively staying in contact with your prospects and online customers. Offer a free e-course or e-zine subscription on your website so that you keep in touch with your website’s visitors. This will help you create trust and build a relationship with your prospects, and soon they will be your online customers. Having a ‘list’ is a definite way of making money online as you can make regular offers to them. After every sale, follow up with the customer and see if they are satisfied with their purchase. Retain their email on your list and offer them any services or products you may have in the future.
· Go that ‘extra mile’ for your customers and be nice. This is a critical factor which is often underestimated in its importance. Always be ready to help, answer any questions or offer some advice. Be polite to your customers. Show them that you really care about them.
By simply following the above recommendations, you can be sure to convert your prospects into online customers and also keep them away from your competition.

A member at the warrior forum ask how to manage all the "to do" things, in so little time. since most of us starting the online business as a part time job, we have a few hours everyday to work on our business. The best thing to do is focus on a few things, and always write down a "to do" list. one in a calender for the every day/week/month routine, and one for future thing you want to do, but it's not the right time to do them.
This member asked what to do when your future list is growing and eventually you are forgetting about the thing you wanted to do.
I usually say, If you forgot about it, than it wasn't that important.
I have so many things on my future list, and I already crossed some of them because, as time goes by you learn, and know that some of them won't help you or just be another burden, another thing to do.
So I guess it's good to forget about some of those you wanted to. I believe that if you didn't use the opportunity when it was there for the first time then it will keep knocking on your door, until you let it in.
Don't worry just focus on the things that work for you, and keep doing them.

Every start-up venture needs a business plan, yet many entrepreneurs do not realize a marketing plan is equally vital. Unlike a business plan, the marketing plan focuses on the customers. A marketing plan includes numbers, facts and objectives, but it is not primarily numerical; it is strategic. It is your plan of action - what you will sell, to whom you will sell it and how often, at what price, and how you will get the product to the buyer. Here's a closer look at putting together a marketing plan that works.
Step One: Define your product. The first part of the marketing plan defines your product or service and its features and benefits in detail, then shows how it is different from the competition's. The more clearly and succinctly you describe your product in your marketing plan, the better you will communicate with your target customer.
Markets and products have become extremely fragmented. There are hundreds of special interest magazines, for example, each targeted to a very specific market segment. It's the same with restaurants, cars and retail clothing stores, just to name a few industries. Positioning your product competitively requires an understanding of this fragmented market. Not only must you be able to describe your product, but you must also be able to describe your competitor's product and show why yours is better.
Positioning your product involves two steps. First, analyze your product's features and decide how they differentiate your product from its competitors. Second, decide what type of buyer is most likely to purchase your product.
Pricing and placement are critical to competitive positioning. In today's marketing culture, pricing cannot be separated from the product. Take grocery stores, for example. The full-service supermarket is still the most popular form of grocery distribution. But today, busy families want faster service and more convenience, even if it means higher prices. As a result, convenience stores, home delivery services, personal shoppers and takeout restaurants have proliferated. At the same time, warehouse grocery retailing has also increased. Warehouse stores cater to customers who prefer low prices to convenience.
Service, distribution and price are the essential elements of the product offered by supermarket, convenience and warehouse stores. To develop a successful marketing plan, you need to analyze how these same elements fit into your business. What are you selling - convenience? quality? discount pricing? You can't offer it all. Knowing what your customers want helps you decide what to offer.
Step Two: Describe your target customer. Developing a profile of your target customer is the second step in an effective marketing plan. You can describe customers in terms of demographics - age, sex, family composition, earnings and geographical location - as well as lifestyle. Ask the following: Are my customers conservative or innovative? Leaders or followers? Timid or aggressive? Traditional or modern? Introverted or extroverted? How often do they purchase what I offer? How much of it at a time? Are there peak buying periods or times of the year when people won't buy my product or service?
Step Three: Create a communication strategy. Your target customer must not only know your product exists but also have a favorable impression of its benefits. Communication includes everything from logo design and advertising to public relations and promotions. Find out what your target customers read and listen to. You need to know this to get their attention. In addition to where to place your message, consider how frequently customers need to receive it.
This part of the marketing plan should spell out your promotional objectives. What do you want to achieve? Do you want people to recognize your company name? Know where you're located? How much money can you spend to get your message across? What media are available, and which will work best? Finally, how will you evaluate the results?
Ask yourself the right questions and analyze yow answers, and you'll come up with a marketing plan that will help you achieve your-goals.
People who achieve daily success have learned to conquer four common time-wasters.
1. Laziness Time put to no useful purpose, not even relaxation.
2. Procrastination Putting off things that should be done now.
3. Distraction Time frittered away on the details of side issues, to the detriment of the main issue.
4. Impatience Lack of preparation, thoroughness, or perseverance, usually resulting in time-consuming mistakes.
